My Versa 2, several days ago, stopped working. Black screen. It was charged, I know that. I tried to reboot the device but nothing happened, no lights, nothing. So I tried to charge it anyway. Still no luck.
I reached out to Fitbit support and they recommended cleaning the connection points, carefully with a qtip and alcohol. Making special care that it was dry and there were no cotton pieces left behind then charge it for a period of time then reach back out to them if it didn't work.
I followed these directions and it was late so I went to bed. When I woke up in the morning my Versa2 was melted and stuck on to the charger.
I reached back out to support and they said the issue had to be escalated and they would reach back out to me via email. Hours went by and there was no email. I reached back out and they said be patient.
Is been over 24 hours and still no word from Fitbit.

Hi @jessicacatapano - the watch had developed a fault, usually associated with water getting in which caused it to overheat.
You will need another watch. If it is still under warranty it can be replaced otherwise just buy a new one rather than waiting. Support should have been lable to deal with this on the spot.
However they will want you to buy a more expensive watch and will offer a discount on it hence the delay in sending you the email.
A different model won't have all the features you use currently so is possibly not a good choice.
Note: If you are going to buy a new watch you can look at other makes.
