Versa 2 No sleep score

Hi all,

i am new to the Fitbit world and just purchased the versa 2 I was intrigued by the sleep score. I wore it to bed last night woke up and synced it but there was no score only showed data for R.E.M., deep and light sleep. I have searched and read so many forums I seem to find some that says yes it is part of the app or no its part of the new premium subscription..  my welcome email clearly says all heart rate monitors come with a sleep score.. am I doing something wrong? Even in settings in the app the only option to turn on/off is sleep insights. I've uninstalled, the app, restarted the watch and still nothing..I'm running on iOS 13 so,that shouldn't be an issue. Can someone tell me yes the sleep score is standard and how to access it or no fitbit has now put that as part of their premium service.. thank you

I've gotten scores one out of three nights. Will probably send this back. It should perform as it's supposed to without us posting, Googling, etc. From what I read, it works partially some of the time. I ordered a Galaxy Active. Will see what that does...

I have he same issue. Sometimes the score shows sometimes not. Seems like a bug.  Does Fitbit read these posts?  I don't see any answer to this issue which is affecting many it seems.

I was used to the tracker on my Flex, so I didn't know that I had to swipe screens in order to get a score until I figured it out by accident. However, I have no data because my sleep hours were not recorded automatically. I had to input them. How do I get it to track my sleep automatically so my score doesn't look like this?

Clearly not. I sent them a message via their support channel and they sent me a response that was giving me an explanation about what the sleep score was.

I thought maybe I was t wearing the watch tight enough - so I tightened it and received a score one night but not last night -

Still waiting for some other explanations from someone who has solved this issue.

@SilviaFitbit  are you monitoring this post?  Do you have further information?

In my case I am having fewer issues when wearing the Versa 2 with a third party replacement band.  Still not happy that results are inconsistent.

I contacted customer service the second day. I am attaching a snip of the
conversation. You wills see there are several reasons the sleep score may
not be working. I had selected the BEGIN SLEEP NOW option and when using
that feature you do not get a sleep score.

I hope this helps.

I had a score this morning with data for last night and Monday night. I didn't do anything differently other than maybe tighten the band.

I have heard that. I hope they fix that bug with the begin sleep now, but if not using it allows me to get my sleep score and a breakdown of stages that would be pretty good.

I started using Versa 2 on December 13 and had scores record on 14, 15 and 18.  Since then I have tried:

- change wearing watch from left to right arm

- restarting Versa (hold button for 10 seconds)

- turning Versa off and leave off for 30 minutes and then turn back on

- doing a factory reset and then set up from scratch

- logging out and back into the app

NOTHING WORKS - I still do not receive Sleep Scores.

Ridiculous. It shouldn't be so difficult. I have found turning the face to the inside of the wrist helps.  I'm sending the Versa back and keeping the Galaxy Active2. It's more $$$$, BUT no issues like the Versa and FUN to use. Results are on your wrist, not your phone.

I tired wearing the band tighter but I still get no score occasionally.

So, i turned off sleep insights at the suggestion of someone on the forum.
Woke up to a sleep score this morning!! Try giving that a shot.

Good luck!

Turning off sleep insights sounds like a good suggestion.

Just to be clear, I personally never had sleep insights turned on. Also, I'd actually like to try that feature, and it's not going to be feasible if it means I get no sleep score.  So I'd call it a work-around, rather than a solution.

Wondering if we are going to see any further input from Fitbit personnel on this thread.

Last night I tried NOT setting the “Begin Sleep Now” feature .... and I ended up with a score! I am not sure of the purpose of this feature if it interferes. Strange. But thanks, everyone, for me this worked.

Glad that worked for you - just want to note that I have never used "begin sleep now" either, and I am still waiting for a response from Fitbit regarding a permanent fix.

I turned off 'sleep insights' and will see if that works tonight.

Thank you for the suggestion.

Turning off sleep insights did not work for me. Still no sleep score or stages listed. I will try not putting it to begin sleep now, but I expect Fitbit to fix this as it is otherwise false advertising and they need to mark certain features as experimental. I love my Fitbit, but they need to get things in order.
