Versa 2 No sleep score

Hi all,

i am new to the Fitbit world and just purchased the versa 2 I was intrigued by the sleep score. I wore it to bed last night woke up and synced it but there was no score only showed data for R.E.M., deep and light sleep. I have searched and read so many forums I seem to find some that says yes it is part of the app or no its part of the new premium subscription..  my welcome email clearly says all heart rate monitors come with a sleep score.. am I doing something wrong? Even in settings in the app the only option to turn on/off is sleep insights. I've uninstalled, the app, restarted the watch and still nothing..I'm running on iOS 13 so,that shouldn't be an issue. Can someone tell me yes the sleep score is standard and how to access it or no fitbit has now put that as part of their premium service.. thank you

Mine has been working but I have to sync it each morning because it hasn't
been doing it automatically. I think I am returning mine.

Same for me. The feature does not work. I am headed to Amazon to report same. I know that software often has bugs. But the deafening silence of Fitbit on this is unacceptable.

I'm also finding the app to be buggy.  I have had to force stop it to get it to sync multiple times.

Mine worked when I did not use the begin sleep now. Woohoo! Still some bugs for them to fix but...

So did you use the "Add Sleep Log" button instead of "Begin Sleep Now" button? Otherwise how does it know to start logging the data? I tried using the add sleep log button instead of Begin Sleep Now and it made no difference at all: still not sleep score. Thanks

I save sleep when I wake up in the morning.  It appears to auto-detect the start time and end time.  Those can be edited if needed.  I've been getting scores this week - but an error pops up each time I save that says something like "can't be saved to the server," and then it saves anyway.  It just doesn't work as advertised any way you look at it.

Turning off sleep insights did not work for me. I've tried everything
possible to make sleep score work.

It's broken and Fitbit needs to fix it.

I returned my Fitbit to BestBuy and received a refund-no problem. The
associate asked if I would like a replacement and I declined with thanks.

I just disnt select “start sleep now” and it worked - two nights in a row.

I don’t know what data I get that was different when I selected the “start sleep now” -

I think it somehow auto detects when you go to sleep.

No - and even the Fitbit help people don’t know why it is happening. I sent them the fix we are finding. (I wish I had saved my box so I could take it back)

Begin sleep now is part of the problem.

I do agree their silence is very frustrating. I’m really trying to give them the benefit of the doubt even as I point out bugs, but if they’re not going to do anything about it...

Mine is working fine now. I moved the band so that it is snug about an inch from the start of the palm of my hand. Not as close to the hand as I had it at first.

I've noticed that you don't get a sleep score if your heart rate was not recorded during your sleep.

Check your heart rate graph at the time of your sleep. Has it recorded your HR?

My heart rate graph shows that my heart rate was being recorded during the nights when sleep stages were not recorded.

me too.

I returned my Versa 2 and got a refund. No one should have to work this
hard to get a product to work as advertised.

I'm sorry everyone is having issues, I literally have zero issues after day one, I've received a sleep score every day, I don't use sleep insights, I don't tell the Watch to start sleep, the only thing I do is schedule sleep mode so,the watch display doesn't turn on while I am asleep. I go to bed and wake up, sync the watch to the app and everything is displayed on the app and now the watch with the latest update. I wear it about 1" above my wrist not to loose or too tight.

I bought the watch on a recommendation from my sister. From day one,
everything has worked fine for her and she has received a sleep score. I
have not been so fortunate.

So, is it the watch or is it me?

(I returned the watch today and received a refund.)

I think that’s the issue many of us are having. I’m really frustrated. It worked perfectly recording my sleep for the first 10 days or so, then started recording just some hours, now it records nothing. I’ve tried everything. I don’t know what else to do other than return it. The sleep score is the most important thing about it to me.

It’s the watch. 😕
