Hi all,
i am new to the Fitbit world and just purchased the versa 2 I was intrigued by the sleep score. I wore it to bed last night woke up and synced it but there was no score only showed data for R.E.M., deep and light sleep. I have searched and read so many forums I seem to find some that says yes it is part of the app or no its part of the new premium subscription.. my welcome email clearly says all heart rate monitors come with a sleep score.. am I doing something wrong? Even in settings in the app the only option to turn on/off is sleep insights. I've uninstalled, the app, restarted the watch and still nothing..I'm running on iOS 13 so,that shouldn't be an issue. Can someone tell me yes the sleep score is standard and how to access it or no fitbit has now put that as part of their premium service.. thank you

Try resetting the app and rebooting the Fitbit as well. I had to do that
several times in a row

I am using Fitbit devices for years now and I have never received Sleep Stages on a regular basis. I was happy with once every one or two weeks (I guess the mods can find my history). Now I am a happy owner of a Versa 2 from June 22, and I am afraid I am setting a record. Since installing I have not seen Sleep Stages using my brand new Versa 2. Resetting, reinstall, turned hartrate monitor off/on again and experimenting with my wrist band didn't resolve my problems.

@Dormar5 thank you, I will try as high as possible and comfortable. Do you wear it tight, Versa imprinted in your wrist the next morning?

That’s what Fitbit told me yesterday when I complained about 4 weeks of no sleep score. It did not work last night; hopefully, this will correct the problem.

This is as high it gets, right against my wrist bone...

If I wear mine any more snugly it’ll cut off my circulation. Nothing I’ve tried has worked. It’s really a shame as sleep score is the single most important feature for me.

Agreed. If t doesn’t work, I’m going to bite the bullet and replace it with an Apple Watch!

No changes other than my hand hurts due to the pressure of the Versa. It's strange because my wife has no issues at all with her Fitbit Versa (first edition). I will ask her to wear mine tonight and see what happens.
But maybe it's what Fitbit support told me a year ago: "Please note that receiving sleep stages can be affected by a combination of your movement during sleep, HRV data, and personal physiology", especially the last part...
But the last reply I got from Fitbit support on May 5th 2020 is this:
"Hello Ronald,
Thank you for reaching back out to us about your sleep stages.
We are aware of the behavior you are seeing and our products team is working on a resolution. Once we have an update, we will reach out to you with the resolution.".
Are any of the Fitbit moderators able to check out this case? @SilviaFitbit @RicardoFitbit

Same here. I complained to Fitbit and they exchanged it for me. When I first got it back, it worked as advertised... for about a week or ten days. Then it stopped displaying g allele score.
if the problem was me, my circulation, my IQ, the positioning on my wrist, the tightness, my political affiliation, it wouldn’t have worked at all. I’m convinced it’s a defective design issue!

That's how I wear mine, higher up the arm.

@Dormar5 thank you for the images, they are really helpful. I totally misunderstood "a little higher on your wrist", I thought the other way around. But now I see what you mean, that's high and very tight. I will see if this works for me to.
Edit: after one night no changes for me, I will try one more time and then I have to give up on Sleep Stages I think.
Triedit wwith the band high placed and tight, you can see where it was placed by the skin marks.

The first two weeks no Sleep Stages, wearing my Versa 2 on the left and right wrist without any luck. Now I tried @Dormar5 's option for three days (almost half way on my forearm). And the second day I got sleep Stages, but only one time out of three. My arm is irritated due to the pressure of the wristband, so to uncomfortable to repeat. I guess it's time to give up and accept it's a Fitness tracker with a nice watchface.

Hi everyone.
I'm sorry to hear that you're having issues with the heart rate and sleep data on your Versa smartwatches. Thank you for all the steps you've done so far to get the issues fixed and for the screenshots provided about your graphs.
As we may know, due to the heart rate not working properly we're not receiving sleep data either as your Fitbit estimates your sleep stages using a combination of your movement and heart-rate patterns.
Said so, please try the following steps (even if you have tried some of them already, let's perform them in the order shown):
Also, for more detailed information, see: What factors can affect my heart-rate reading on my Fitbit device?
If the heart rate on your watch starts working but it's still not providing you with your sleep stages, take in consideration the information provided here: Why don't I see sleep stages today?
On the other hand, if you've exhausted all troubleshooting steps to fix the sleep data on your watch and contacted our Support Team, I'd suggest to keep your conversation with them as they know what's the next step to try after everything you have done.
I'll be around if you have any questions present.
Was my post helpful? Give it a thumbs up to show your appreciation! Of course, if this was the answer you were looking for, don't forget to make it the Best Answer! Als...

@AlanJStern I wasn't allowed to mention a brand name (marked my topic as spam). But Google will find a lot of options when you do a search on 'skin care ointment'. I am very curious if this could work for you too. But I have to admit, for Fitbit support it's the first time someone reported this.
