I was sitting in a bus, when my FitBit Versa 2 shows me 155 BPM! Then 160. It then lowered it to 145 BPM.
I quickly take my pulse the old way - count the beats to 15 and then multiply by 4. Of course, my heart rate was only 88. I've repeated the procedure two more times. 80 and 84.
So what the hell FitBit? I thought I would have a heart-attack and have to rush to the ER. I can assure you that my HR was not 155 and I know how to count to 20 to measure my own pulse.
This stuff is not funny for someone who is actually taking medicine for a cardiovascular issue. Now I have 29 active minutes and an unreliable watch. I was about to buy the Sense but after this I kinda doubt FitBit and the quality of their products.

It’s happened to me many times while riding on a bumpy road or with certain arm movements. I’ve even had it go that high while petting my dog. It is very scary. Untrue and very scary. I probably shouldn’t even wear it anymore because most of the time it scares the bejesus out of me and sends me into a full blown panic attack for no reason.
