Versa 2 Screen now unresponsive after showing static and going through a long reboot loop

So, I love, love, love my Versa 2 device. I love the Fitbit ecosystem. The combination of using the tracker with the Premium services, meal suggestions/plans, exercise routines, etc. has made a huge positive impact on my life. So I'm not totally complaining here... but I'm on my second Versa 2 device in just under 2 years and am wondering if it's time to upgrade? Is the Versa 2 device really just a little bit unreliable? Is the Versa 3 much more robust/durable? I wear it all the time, and it's been great for the most part, but hasn't lasted or has barely lasted a whole year. I'm very careful with it, it doesn't get banged around, but I use it when I exercise, obviously, and I've gone through several bands as well, but I figure that's no big deal. They're easy to replace. But when the actual Fitbit quits working in less than a year... that seems bad.

What are other peoples experiences? Does your device last more than a year? Should I just expect to replace it every year? (Please say no, I can't really afford that.) Should I look at a sturdier device/platform? I'd much rather pay $600+ one time and have it last many years than pay $200 - $300 every year and have to set the thing up over and over again. Or am I living a dream and should really just expect to pay the $300 every year? That seems insane.

My Versa 2 has stayed reliable but, of course, individual experiences may vary.  The Versa 3 has some more features, but I personally see no reason to expect it to be more durable.  Personally, I would be cautious about switching to another device if you love the one you have, aside from the issues you have had.  But I'm not really in a position to judge.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

Do you mind if I ask how long you've had it? I can't really understand why mine has needed to get replaced 2x already.

I've used mine for about a year and the faceplate just became unresponsive. Prior to the face plate becoming unresponsive, I noticed that it didn't seem to accurately reflect the number of calories being burned. I really thought that this device would last a lot longer than a year.

Yeah, the touch interface on this device is no longer working, and it keeps going into a very long boot loop. Then it'll show the watch face for a few minutes (touch non-responsive) then boot loop again.

Thanks, and I agree, it should last a lot longer than a single year.
