(Versa 2) What Is The Purpose Of Update 3.37.1???

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Does this correct problems associated with 3.37 where long-working phones suddenly could no longer sync with the Fitbit because those phones weren't in the compatibility list?? There is no information listed regarding it's purpose other than:

01/29/21

3.37.1

  • Critical Bug fixes and performance improvements

If I install this on my non-compatible phone that worked (works) with versions prior to 3.37, is it now going to work correctly with 3.37.1??

here is something a moderator posted about phones being compatible:

"Please note that your phone or tablet is not on our list of compatible devices. We confirmed that the devices on this list are fully compatible with all features of Fitbit devices and the Fitbit app. While a phone or tablet may not be verified as fully compatible, the Fitbit app may still work with your device.

We routinely test new devices to ensure full compatibility with Fitbit devices and the Fitbit app, and are constantly working to confirm compatibility with new phone models. Be sure to verify that your phone or tablet meets the minimum operating system requirements.

If your phone supports Bluetooth 4.0, we provide assistance and troubleshooting steps. Because your phone or tablet is not fully compatible with Fitbit devices, we can't guarantee syncing and other Fitbit features. "

Nothing new there, that's what they all post....

However, they apparently took to heart the complaints from all the "not on the compatible list" phone owners who suddenly could NO LONGER sync their phones and Versa 2s after the 3.37 update. The 3.37.1 update does seem to correct the problems introduced in 3.37. I just installed it on my Samsung J7 and I can still sync! I had backported to 3.26.1 hoping that they would fix 3.37 even though tech support told me, basically, there weren't really bothered because my phone wasn't on the compatible list.

Anyway - at this point it looks like 3.37.1 fixes the problem I was having with the 3.37 update from earlier this week.

Thank you Fitbit technical services!!!
