Haven’t used my Versa in months as it wouldn’t charge - discovered a pin was bent on the original charger - borrowed a charger - it worked for about a week. Now, it will not charge. Initially you can see a slight change in color on the screen where the face would appear but it disappears. Would like to know if I need to toss it. Have tried to contact Fitbit for help a couple of times but no response. I’ve been shopping around for other brands but these purchases are costly - suggestions?

Hello @Lydia67
Have you tried restarting your Fitbit Versa 2? You will not lose any data doing so. Simply hold down the side button until you see the Fitbit Logo then release the button. You should feel it vibrate shortly thereafter indicating the Versa 2 did indeed restart. Hopefully that will fix the issue. Also, check the pins again in your charger. Hopefully they are not bent or broken….if they look okay try and clean the back of your Versa 2 and the charger pins to remove any dust or debris that might be there.
😃 Please let me know if this answers your question and resolved the issue

@Lydia67 Have you tried cleaning the charging contacts on your Versa 2? You clean the contacts with alcohol and a soft toothbrush. You clean the charger contacts with alcohol, too. I use a cotton tipped applicator. This part won't help if the pin is bent too far.

I have tried EVERYTHING that I can - just not getting any charge. Is there a life expectancy to the Versa or the watches in general? I am pretty sure it was less than 2 years old when I could no longer get it to work…as mentioned / attempted contact with customer service without resolve…

Yes, I tried the usual things and yes, realizing a pin was bent I tried another charger - it did work for a couple of days but then nothing.

Hello again @Lydia67
I’m sorry restarting and cleaning the charger contacts didn’t work. As far as life expectancy I have zero way of gauging that. My Versa 2 is a bit over two years and (Knock on Wood) it hasn’t failed on me ever. Can you try charging your Versa in another outlet? If your device’s battery was depleted to 0%, and it doesn’t appear to be charging leave your device plugged in to the charging cable for at least 30 minutes if you haven’t already done so.

Can you try restarting your Versa 2 again @Lydia67 Try it a few times (at least 3 times) if you have too. Just hold down the side button until you see the Fitbit Logo then release the button. You should feel it vibrate shortly thereafter indicating the Versa 2 did indeed restart. Unfortunately if this doesn’t resolve the issue your only recourse is to contact Fitbit Customer Service. Are you in the US? If so you can call them direct at 877-623-4997 Otherwise try Fitbit Live Chat here: https://myhelp.fitbit.com/s/support?language=en_US
