Versa 2 and Fitbit app aren't working properly

Since this morning my Fitbit Versa 4 is behaving really erratically. The touchscreen is reacting strangely, not doing anything when I press it and then suddenly flicking between many screens. I can side click a shortcut but can’t press on anything on the screen. 
This morning I went for a run and manually asked the app to track, it started to work through the watch then after 20 mins just ended the activity itself. When I have tried to manually log the app just crashes. 
Seems like both app and watch are failing something with the software?? 

Just to add I’ve manually restarted it and also charged it up.
