Versa 2 and Moto G7 connection issue

I have a Versa 2 and a Motorola Motog7 and it never maintains connectivity. It is very disappointing. I have seen others post this a lot. I have tried stuff posted about notifications and such. 

I never know when it is going to work properly or not. Some runs are fine, gets all data works like a champ, but often it only gets some data due to GPS or some other disconnection issue. 

 

I have no idea if this is an issue with the phone or the versa.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention and for trying some troubleshooting steps before posting over here, I understand how frustrating this matter can be for you. Let me share with you that the Motorola Moto G7 is not listed as a compatible device with our products and services, therefore, you can experience some connection difficulties with this specific phone and your Versa 2 because we haven't fully tested how the connectivity between our Fitbit devices will be using the Moto G7 Bluetooth and the GPS chip as well.

 

On the other hand, if you're experiencing issues with the notifications feature, I recommend you to check: How do I get notifications from my phone on my Fitbit device? to see that all the necessary requirements to receive notifications on your Fitbit are correctly configured and to try some troubleshooting steps. And for GPS tracking, take a look to:

Saying that this device is not in the list of tested devices is a big copout. checking the device list you attached, I see a very limited number relative to the many, many phones out there.  The fitbit have been out for some time. The limited number of tested devices, allows for that easy out. The Moto G7 is a pretty typical Android phone.  

 

Still disappointed.

I own a G7 and have minimal issues with connecting my Versa 2 not to say it hasn't happened to me....make sure any  power saving  features on your phone aren't limiting your connectivity is my best advice.  If you have updated to Android 10 more than likely you'll need to investigate your power saving features.
