I have a Family Premium Spotify account and can't seem to connect my new Versa 2.
Is it only compatible with regular premium accounts?
Anyone have any advice? It says it can't connect because of the Bluetooth but everything else works fine.
This is in a Samsung Galaxy S9.

Hi there @Staceyd111980, welcome to the Community Forums. I'm sorry for the late response.
If you're still having difficulties to connect your Versa 2 with Spotify, note the following requirements:
For troubleshooting, see Why can't I control music with my Fitbit device?
Let me know if there's anything else I may do to assist you with.

I have a versa 1 and the same issue as OP. It seems that the spotify app on the watch keeps asking to login through the app. Inside the app I grant permissions through fitbit app->settings->login but after I accept at accounts.spotify.com the page closes and nothing happens. You posted a list of requirements which I all checked and conformed to. Could you check with technical staff if this has been tested with family subscriptions? It could have something to do with the way authorization scopes have been implemented for spotify connect. I don't have much experience with spotify connect in particular but I do with the protocols they use. Thank you in advance!

Looks like it's been a few months since this was last posted but there doesn't seem to be any solutions. I have the same issue with my family subscription on Versa 2 using the One Plus 7T Pro .
-Fresh Spotify app install, login, permissions granted.
Screenshot everything works great, and the app lets me control my music through the Fitbit.
-If I get out of range or resync my versa 2
Screenshot app forgets my premium account and I have to logout and log back in for it to work again.

I am also having the same problem here.
Everytime I re-sync my spotify account is reverted to free even though it's a premium account.
Please advise.

Hi Maria,
I am having the same problem as others in this thread and as per the requirements:
- I have the spotify app on my watch.
- I have a premium family subscription
- I have the latest version of the spotify app.
Similar to manny-camp I can open the app fine but after resyncing it says that I require a premium account and every time I need to log in. I have now stopped using the fitbit app on spotify since it is far too inconvenient to go into the app setting every time I want to control music.
Is this a bug with family subscriptions? Since it still has not been resolved for a while can we report this somewhere?

We had some engagement from fitbit about this issue so this is the place to comment. Please keep posting here and others reading please upvote and post here until this issue is resolved. I am just going to assume that the app is useless which was something I was very excited about.

Thanks for the reply, I pressed the "Affects me too" button on the OP. Also this user from another thread found an alternative app. Its a temporary workaround but it worked for me with a family subscription.

Hi there, I have a Versa 2 and a family Spotify subscription as well. Spotify on my watch somehow connected to my daughter's Spotify account (not my type of music!) and no matter what I try, I can't unsync and resync to my account. Any suggestions??

Just going to pop this here, but Garmin solved the issue in 2018.
