After two years my original Versa 2 died and I promptly replaced it with another. The problem now is that the new ones are not compatible with Windows 10 even though every article says they are. I spent numerous attempts to transfer music following every suggestion on the community board even doing a factory reset. For the past two days I have have talked with different techs, one saying to do a factory reset because the firmware didn't load correctly, so I did it again. .BTW it would not download over the internet, it would get to 5% and indicate failure. Had to use Bluetooth even though wifi was 2.4 and WPA2. The next tech told me today that Windows 10 only worked with the original Fitbit Connect app. The new PC Fitbit app is not compatible. His suggestion was to use a computer running on an earlier Windows version, that's a joke. Seems like a lot of bugs with the Fitbit app. My watch would connect but when the Success Logo came up it disconnected. Very disappointed. Makes me wish I had upgraded to Versa 3 with no intentions to transfer music! Watching for an update to correct this problem.

@busdrivermj I'm not sure which articles you were reading, but my memory tells me that the Versa 2 required a compatible Android/iPhone ever since it was released. I browsed old posts in the Windows 10 App forum. There are posts about the Versa 2 and Windows 10 incompatibility dating from Sept 2019, its release date.
But setting up and syncing are different from transferring music. I could not set up or sync my Versa 2 with my Mac, but I used Fitbit Connect to transfer personal music. You say you did a factory reset. You might not have the current firmware. Your Versa 2 needs v 35.72.1.15 to be current. It might not be a firmware problem, but Fitbit always recommends having the current firmware.
Did you follow the steps in order as described in this Help article: How do I listen to music and podcasts on my Fitbit device? There is a very helpful video in the Mac section of the Help article. You will notice the Fitbit app for Windows 10 hasn't been updated since 2019 and that Fitbit Connect hasn't been updated since 2018. These are the current versions.
I do want to add that I gave up on listening to my personal music on my Versa 2. The battery drain was enormous and I always have my phone with me when exercising. But there is some music that I own that just doesn't seem to show up on the streaming services.

@busdrivermj There is no need to randomly check for an update. Fitbit stopped updating the Fitbit app for Windows 10 when it stopped making compatible devices. I wish I could follow the steps with you and see where and how it fails. But I am not a PC user and have no experience with it. Just my Mac.

Really feel deserted by Fitbit with no alternatives for transferring music to my Versa 2. Does anyone know if the Windows app will be improved or if transferring by Bluetooth will ever become a reality.
