Versa 2 battery is not lasting

My Fitbit versa 2 battery has always lasted for days. All of a sudden it’s barely lasting a day. I haven’t changed any settings as far as I’m aware?! Any ideas why this might be happening?? Thanks 🙏🏻

Hi there, @Meerkat57. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. I'm sorry to hear that the battery of your Versa 2 is not lasting as it used to. I understand where your concern is coming from, I will do my best to help you with this!

Regarding the battery short life, in general, it is recommended to follow the recommendations listed in this article to improve or extend battery life.

Nevertheless, please bear in mind that as all rechargeable batteries age, they deteriorate to some extent and an older device will need to be charged more often than a new one. The best way of minimizing this effect is to avoid deep discharges of the battery. To maximize the overall life of your Fitbit device's battery, ideally keep it between 20-80%.  Many people find that a daily battery boost works best ( e.g. giving it a 15 minutes charge while you are showering in the morning).

Many thanks, I have followed the guidance given and I think to be honest that the battery is functioning properly so it may be from deterioration.
Is it possible to replace the battery?

I’m starting to think this is a systemic Fitbit issue in the last week or two, given the number of users with the exact same issue and no change in the user’s behavior.

Oh that’s interesting, I hadn’t realised this, I just thought my Fitbit had run its course and it’s time for a new device.

Perhaps that’s the intention if there is some kind of update/intervention that’s causing the issue.

been no change in behaviour from me.

Yes,, mine has gone as well. But I an getting an exclamation mark through a battery flashing up when trying to charge it. Are you getting this?

Seems like an on going issue I have the same thing going on. I was told they would get back to me with warranty info. I have had it since November. Shouldn't have issues like this 😕

Hi

No you shouldn’t, I’ve had mine a few years so I think it just died from wear and tear.
The battery wouldn’t charge at all in the end so I’ve updated my device now. Mine was out of the warranty period.

Good luck 🤞

Same issue here - Versa 2. Have not had issues until yesterday. Charged yesterday fully, woke up with the battery dead. Charged fully this morning and it's already down to 64%

I’m getting the same symbol and mine wasn’t low on battery.  Happened all of a sudden.

Mine is out of warranty, so probably won't help me.  Good luck with yours 🙂

Exactly the same, it was fully charged before I went to bed, by the morning it was dead. Fitbit can anyone help with this issue please?

Tried all the re-starts etc.. but nothing is working??

Its not right is it, surely there is something they can do, there are too many of us with the same issue..not good for such a big company like this 😞
