Good day All

I m new to the fitbit community, i just got my fitbit versa 2 SE just last week and i have already charged it 3 - 4 times  and its been only a week, i alway have it synced up with my phone, monitoring my heart rate, i never use it to play music,  just mainly counting the steps. I thought it was the always on clock face i had i switched it off bt it still drained so quick.

Regards

Katlego

I only had my versa lite for about 1 year.  The battery will not hold a charge now. I can barely get 8 hrs on one charge. Before I could get at least 2-3 days. It started after this last update. Is anyone else having this problem and what did you do about it.

Hi @Miss_Kitty_Kat and @Wantoknow. Welcome to the Community Forums.

Thanks for letting me know that the battery in your watches isn't lasting enough, as well for the steps that you've taken prior to posting. As with any other electronic devices, the battery will depend on the features and how often they're used, such as the connected GPS, using a 3rd-party clock face or notifications. This doesn't mean that you shouldn't use them, but just to take into consideration the conditions that may affect the battery in your watches. For more tips to maximize the battery life, check this help article.

That being said and to work on this together, please try the following:

  1. If you did intense workout, please clean the contacts on your watch and charging cable to ensure they'll make a proper connection.
  2. Change the clock face to one from Fitbit just to test your watch.
  3. Restart your watch to refresh its performance.
  4. Fully charge your watch for 2 hours and make sure to use the charging cable that came with your device.

By the way, I've moved your posts to this new thread so you can have more chances to receive help from the Community.

I have done everything that you said and the battery still do not last 8 hours. After charging to 100% (2 hours or so) the time is off and it takes half the day for the time to finally sync (after all the re-pairing, shutting off, etc.). If Fitbit only lasts for less than 1 year, I will not waste anymore of my money on another one. I whether spend extra and buy something worth my money and time.

Hi @Wantoknow. I'm glad to see you here again.

Thanks for keeping me posted and for trying the troubleshooting tips suggested in my post. I understand how you're feeling about your Versa Lite not holding charge and to continue helping you, I've requested a case on your behalf so our Support team can take a look into your watch's behavior. Please note that due to recent events affecting our operations there might be a delay in their reply, but they'll get in touch with you soon.

I'll be around if you have more questions.
