Versa 2 battery life not lasting

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I've had my versa 2 about a year (I don't exactly remember when I purchased it).  I love it, it's beautiful and has worked great the entire time.  Unfortunately, about a week ago, it stopped being able to hold a charge.  The battery used to stay charged for a good 4-5 days, now it is lasting maybe 2-3.  I have not changed anything with my fitness habits, my lifestyle, or my Versa 2 settings.  At the moment, I cannot afford a new Fitbit.  I've tried turning it off and back on (which helped one other time, but not this time)  Any advice before I breakdown and add to my collection of defunct fitbits?  Maybe I should switch to a Samsung or an iwatch?

Hi @dogonets, it's nice to see you again participating here in the Community Forums!

Thanks for bringing this to our attention and for trying some steps before posting over here. Let me share with you that the battery of our Versa 2 was designed to last 6 days, but this also depends on how frequently you use all the features of your device. That said, I recommend you charging your Fitbit device with a USB port from a computer or a UL-certified outlet into the wall and then turn off all the features that you don’t use that much.

After following the above information, please check this help article for more tips and recommendations. This article includes as restart process that will refresh the device's performance.

Let me know if further assistance is needed and if you have any additional questions.

I also have this issue it only started a week or two ago, I've not changed any settings but the battery is dead within 24 hours.  With no warning it just goes dead and I get a red battery and explanation Mark when I hold the button in.  It's not a year old until December.

So none of these "solutions" worked for my sudden battery failing. My charge is lasting barely 24 hours OUT OF NOWHERE. my tracker is only MONTHS old. This is my 3 fitbit that has had major issues. Im so done giving fitbit money.

I think I'm switching to a Samsung as well. Im done collecting broken fitbits. My versa 2 is only a few months old. This is ridiculous

I always charge it with the appropriate cables and through a UL listed wall plug.  The only features I use are notifications, HR monitor, and counting steps.  The display is NOT always on.  I don't use it to listen to music or run any apps.  I charged it on Friday night and it seems to be doing a little better this time, it might make it to 4-5 days.  If it doesn't, I'll try the restart process, although I've already done that several times and it has made little if any difference.

Based on the number of responses, I'm not alone in facing this issue.  I hope you figure out what is happening and fix it.  I truly love my fitbit, but I really can't afford a new one every year.  At these prices, they shouldn't be "disposable".
