Versa 2 battery short life and counting steps while working

I am really excited because I got a new Versa 2, but I have two problems, the first one with battery, it was suppose to last around 4+ days and I have been charging it on a daily basis, not sure if this is normal...

Another situation I am having, I was working on my desk last night and the tracker was counting steps like I was walking at a fast speed, I just realized this is happening, but then how can I be sure about the other days when I thought I reached my daily steps...is there anything that I can do about it?

The algorithm is designed to look for intensity and motion patterns that are most indicative of people walking and running. When working at a desk, cooking, or performing other activities with arm movements, a device on your wrist may add some steps. When you’re doing activities that involve arm movement—such as working or cooking—you often walk a few steps in-between stationary periods as well, so the device tries to give you credit for those steps. For most customers, the number of extra steps added by arm-based movement isn’t significant when compared to your overall stats.
