I charged my last evening and took it off the charger at 8am this morning. At 2:24 I am down to 60%.
I used to get 2-3 days between charges.

This doesn't fix anything.  Mine is doing the same

Hi @LiliyaFitbit  seems to be quite a pattern with fitbit versa2’s suddenly not holding battery life. My battery is working fine now that I have turned my bluetooth off. What is Fitbit doing to fix this???

Best Answer

Hello, Fitbit! Is anyone reading these? This problem just started for me. Charged full Sunday night. Needed to charge again Monday. Dead by Tuesday morning (that’s today) and have charged twice today. I’ve only had mine since December and was regularly getting five days.

Hi everyone. It's good to see you participating in this thread.

I appreciate everyone's feedback, I understand that this can be very frustrating. Thank you for your troubleshooting efforts and for the details shared. I recommend to force quit the Fitbit app and make sure it is updated to the latest version: How do I update the Fitbit app?

Hope this helps.

My problem may have been linked to the latest update on my phone (the
timing matches anyway). Another restart of my phone and a couple of
restarts on the Versa seem to have done the trick. Fingers crossed!

I wish the post has a dislike button. Trust us everything has been tried already and its a clear glitch on Fitbit end. Give us a realistic update on if the backend team is working and if any ETA. else just don't give basic replies as we have already tried everything. My watch is 45 days old and I was getting 5-6 days easily and all of a sudden it does not even last for 5 hours? non-sense!

i have been calling cust care and they are uncompletely unaware that there are close to 2000 people who have same issue. they have asked me to dipsose my watch. my battery is surviving till 4 days with bluetooth off but drains the moment bluetooth is on for 30 mins. my battery goes from 100 to 33% in an hour with bluetooth.

I have been dealing with the exact same problem too and it really annoys me. In addition to that, the app keeps on telling me that there is a new update. When i do the update though it just shows the same thing over and over again and I can repeatedly can do the same update...

I find that somewhere on the fitbit app, it tells you to turn off something or other if your battery drains.

either that or buy a new one.

Just chiming in on the “ am I doing something wrong “.  So why is it after so many years that Fitbit hasn’t made a utility to downgrade firmware so that when software has a problem - people have a solution.

I have done all and nothing is helping. my battery lasts for 4 days with bluetooth off but drains when i switch on bluetooth. is there any solution???

Best Answer

I have asked several times via email to support but they will not acknowledge the battery being impacted by bluetooth just that the watch must be defective. Disappointing

this is very important! I reached out and received an email saying they were sorry I was leaving the company but I had only asked what was going on with the glitch. I hope they can come to a resolve for all of us, I’ve always had good luck with Fitbit but this has been tough.

I'm having same issues with my Versa 2. It started last Saturday, May 21. We were away from home so thought the lack to update due to that for some reason. My battery is also draining in less than one day where it lasted a good 4-5 days before.  Now home I still cannot get through the update. Very frustrating!!

This is not a solution.   Disabling Bluetooth on my iPhone once the Fitbit is synced is not a long term solution.

The botton line is the app is trying to sync or talk to the device and not getting response or something else that keeps it continuously seeking.

This causes drain on the phone and the Fitbit.   Please acknowledge you have a problem and tell us that you are going to get it sequenced to fix it.  Denial is not the answer.   honesty and having character  ( something that Alphabet should relate to, is important for a company. )

There is a problem.   please acknowledge that.   then tell us that you are going to fix it, then tell us when you are going to start the discovery to fix it.  seems to me that it is quite reproduceable.

Thank you.    the longer you delay the more frustration we will all have and the more customers you will loose.
