Despite exercising regularly in a high heart rate zone, my calorie burn is very low. My training partners record sometimes twice the calorie burn. This is really annoying. What is wrong?

Many factors come into play regarding calorie burn - primarily weight and whether you are male or female.
I am a 5'11" 68 year old male whose weight is 181 pounds. My 6'1" son is 33 and weighs around 250. His calorie burn rate is much higher than mine.
From this afternoon's treadmill session:
I was in cardio more than normal (85%) and booked about 20 more calories for the hour session.
Earlier today, with the same one hour time but a distance of 2.7 miles with 5,836 steps, I booked 26 minutes cardio (45%), 33 fat burn (54%) and 1 minute under zone and was credited with 416 calories.
During one of my Monday sessions, I was below zone 59% of the time and was credited for 402 calories.
I have found that the difference between my FirBit reported calorie burn versus my monitored calorie intake supports my losing a little over 2 pounds a month for the past five months.
Good luck and welcome to the boards.

Weight is a big factor in calorie burn. Check your is entered approximately right.
Are you a petite person training with much heavier people?

@Swampviper and @JohnnyRow -
Ah heck - watch this spot. The "Geek" in me is coming out!
I'm going to change my weight from 182 to 237 (what I used to weight 7 1/2 years ago) in just a few minutes.
I will keep it at that value until after my afternoon treadmill session and report both the change in BMR and share that exercise record and see what the difference is in calculated calorie burn.
I've been meaning to do this for a long time, just to see exactly how I went from 237 in March 2013 to 187 in January 2015 - a 50 pound (22 kg) loss in 22 months.

At the end of this, I have some comments on your comparisons with your training partners.
I increased my weight to 237 from 182. What that did for my BMR is increase it from 1606 calories a day to 1856 calories, a difference of 250 calories or 10.4 calories an hour.
Comparing my exercise record below to the one from yesterday, my zone minutes were 101 today and 109 yesterday, not really that different.
The difference in reported calorie burn was 507 today versus 435 yesterday, a difference of 72 calories, or 62 calories if you subtract the increase in BMR. That is 1 calorie a minute attributable to the difference in weight.
While you have shared your weight and device name we know nothing about your training partners. As far as weight differences, you can see that they can easily contribute to calorie burn rates.
But more importantly, what fitness devices do they use?
<<edit>> tried to bullet point these, but errored out with "invalid html" <</edit>>
Are they FitBits or devices and applications from different manufacturers.
I have read here on the boards of users having devices from different manufacturers complain about one or the other "Not being right" with the calorie calculations.
As I stated in my previous post, the FitBit reported calorie burns when compared against my food intake support my current weight loss trend. And they have supported losses (and gains ☹️ ) in the past.
My treadmill registered 187 calories for my one hour session today - I don't think so, Proform.
And I have heard here on the boards where a Fitness Club's treadmills report twice the burn than the individual's FitBit device does. Why is that? Is it because the user didn't reset the weight to their own weight or is it that the business has, like some have reportedly done, tweak the machines to make their customers happier?
Anyway, I hope this at least gives you something to think about.
Back to 182 pounds.
Good luck.
