Versa 2 can't be unblocked

Hello.  My Versa 2 has been blocked for weeks.  I have been unable to unblock it.  I did the new update this morning and decided to remove the versa from my account in an attempt to unblock it.  The device was found and I was asked me to input the number on the screen of the phone.  There was no number due to it being locked. I pressed the button on the side for 10 seconds......still blocked.  I have done this several times to no avail.  What can I do to resolve this problem?  Thank you in advance.

Hi there @graunty, welcome to the Community Forums. I'm sorry to hear that your Versa 2 has been locked. Thanks for the details provided in your post and for taking the time to fix this inconvenience prior to posting here, I'll be glad to assist you with that.

At this point I recommend doing a factory reset (before doing so, make sure to remove your watch from your Fitbit account): 

  1. Hold the back button for about 8 seconds. 
  2. When the Fitbit logo disappears:
    1. Release the button briefly (for less than 2 seconds). 
    2. Hold the button again until you feel a second, longer vibration, which indicates you initiated the factory reset.

Take into consideration that a factory reset deletes any stored data, which includes all data that hasn't synced to your Fitbit account and your applications, alarms, etc.
