Anyone get their versa 2 yet and can't connect to Alexa? I've got a ticket in but it's so frustrating to have a brand new watch and unable to use the biggest reason you decided to upgrade

Hi everyone. Thanks for taking the time to fix the connectivity issues between Fitbit and Alexa prior to contacting us.
I'm glad to hear that some of you were able to solve the issue after updating the Fitbit app.
If you're still running into this issue, can you please confirm that you have updated the Fitbit app to version 3.6? If you're not in this version, please update the Fitbit app to 3.6 via the app store. If you're on 3.6 please uninstall and install 3.6 from the App Store.
Give this a go and let me know the outcome, I'll be around and glad to further assist you all.
Was my post helpful? Give it a thumbs up to show your appreciation! Of course, if this was the answer you were looking for, don't forget to make it the Best Answer! Als...

@TAMK376 after connecting Alexa, where you able to then go back to running the Beta Fitbit app?
@theminders. what is it that fixed it for you? I see no reference to who you are thanking.
@MarreFitbit is my issue because I'm running the latest Beta app? And after connecting Alexa will i be able to jump back into the beta app?

I am having issues with my Alexa on my Versa 2 and am also using the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus. It worked the first day I got it, but after I week when I tried again...it goes into "listening" "thinking" and then "ask alexa" again. U.S. here as well.

Same here, it worked for a week then I accepted to be a tester and now I am having issues.

That's exactly why I think I started having problems but they have replaced it and now it works.

@jcboys474 since you mentioned that this stopped when you became a tester, I would send an email to bets@fitbit.com and let them know.

I don't have an Android cell phone. I have an iPhone Xs ... and I live in Canada ... and Alexa cannot be connected. I am very unhappy that Alexa is not supported in Canada. I just purchased the Versa 2 ... and one of the big selling features was 'Alexa'. Now that I connected it ... I find out that Alexa cannot be connect in Canada. I feel that Fitbit's advertisements showing the new Versa 2 'with Alexa' ... is False Advertising. They should include in their ads ... not in Canada. I contacted Amazon today both my email and by phone, and this is their reply by email ...
" I am sorry you had problems in order to link your Fitbit Versa 2 to the Alexa app.
This situation happen because this options for Canada is not available yet. I will escalate your concern to the developers in charge of this, so they will know about your concern and will work on it.
We are already working on this because we already receive several customers that wants to use this feature, so you can be sure we are really interested in offer this to our customers.
Thanks for taking time to share your thoughts. Your comments and suggestions will help us improve our store and offer better service to our customers."
By phone I was told they are working on it ... and perhaps in one month the issue will be solved. I'll believe it when I see it.

Submit it as a bug issue since you are a tester and they will replace it for you....they did for me.

@jcboys474 they sent me a new watch face with no bands or charger, but yes. I was a tester as well and my watch was only 1 week old when it quit...coincidentally after I started a project for them.
