Versa 2 charging station - weird design

unlike the Versa (in which has a flat bottom and side cord) - The Versa 2 has the charging cord is coming out of the bottom of the charging station, which doesn't allow for it to lay flat - instead you have to place it awkwardly on the side....Is this normal? is my charging station missing something or do I need to order a separate piece to hold it?

Yes that is the way Fitbit designed it,

Maybe this was the intent of the weird design.

I guess you could rewire it. Not sure what the big gal is.
