Versa 2 - connnected gps not recording correct route and showing zero miles

Started yesterday, went for a ride and watch showed 0.0 miles and 0.0 mph for whole route. Once finished route was correct on map but zero miles.

 

Have tried reinstalling, repairing Bluetooth, restating phone. 

 

This evening went for a 20 odd mile ride (Google maps timeline on phone shows correct route and distance), fit bit for most of route showed 0.0 miles and 0.0mph again, also missed out the middle part of route, at some point toward end of ride it recorded 2.0mph for  0.43 miles.

 

Paired to a galaxy s7, which has all worked fine for over 2000 miles. 

 

Please help
