Just received the fitbit versa 2 on Thursday and I'm having problems. Whenever I try to work out, it keeps crashing a couple of minutes in. Using both the fitbit coach app and the regular workout function. The longest workout I've gotten so far has been 8 minutes before crashing.
I contacted support via chat and they didn't recommend any steps. They told me they would escalate it to a higher department but couldn't give me any kind of turnaround time.
I've tried a factory reset (and not changing anything after this, like adding apps or the watch face), turning off all day sync, turning off always on display, turning off notifications during workout, not using deezer music and it's still happening. Beyond frustrating. Its really not much use to me if I can't track workouts. Also what's the point if I have to turn everything else off just to track a workout.

This definitely sounds like a hardware issue to me, especially considering you've already done a factory reset and the issue still remains.
I've flagged you post for the attention of a moderator, hopefully they will be able to take a look to see what's happening.
