Versa 2 crashing when trying to start exercise on watch

My versa 2 is basically in brand new condition, barely worn. I have decided to get back into exercising and picked up my Fitbit again. When I tried to commence an exercise (workout) on the watch, it would commence but then suddenly crash. I tried it numerous times with other exercises (walk, run, etc). I want to be able to track my activities. The app on the my iPhone is updated and I have done a full data reset on the watch. I don’t know what else to do.

1. Confirm the steps to restart the device: How do I restart my Fitbit device?
2. Switch to a Fitbit clock face: How do I change the clock face on my Fitbit device?
