My versa 2 gave up on life February 28th after telling me I had been active 9 hours. My boyfriend had just bought this for me in December for x-mas. I’ve checked out the forums. I’ve held the button down for at least two minutes and it has not turned on. Kept it on the charger for 24 hours does, not turn on. Kept it off the charger hoping the battery would die then tried to charge it nothing. Jiggled the bottom before holding it down nothing. The help I’ve seen in the forum is to hold down at least two buttons but there is only the one. I love my present and don’t want it to truly be dead. The fact I have only been wearing it two months is really upsetting. Any help would be appreciated. 😭😭😭

Contacts are clean adapter and charger are all in perfect working order. When I put the watch on that morning I believe it still had 60-70% battery power, so it should have at least lasted the entire day. I’ve even tried a YouTube tutorial that has you repeatedly press then hold the power button over and over. Nothing.

As it won't turn on you can't see the charge, it may be good to check its charging properly
To see what's happening with the charge
Connect the charge cable to the watch and plug it into a PC USB port
The PC should announce a connected device with a sound, it means its connected and charging [if there is no sound, either the volume on the PC is low, or off, or the watch is not properly connected to the charger or has a fault]
if PC then announces a disconnected device with another sound, it means the watch battery is either flat or the watch is dead - this may occur repetitively until the watch comes on or is charging.
anyway wait 10 minutes [for battery to get to 5%] if the watch or battery is not dead it will announce device connected again [the watch may also wake up]
if after an hour there is nothing on the watch face try starting it by pressing a button for a few seconds and waiting for the logo to appear or restarting with the buttons
if nothing comes on the screen, either there is a screen or button fault or the watch is dead - but wait
Check the button start procedure, make sure you are actioning it properly, and that the button clicks properly |
Unfortunately if you did a factory reset it may have been unsuccessful, it is a known issue.
Generally if it only announces connect and disconnect repetitively on the PC then the watch is probably no longer usable.
Probably best to contact Fitbit Support directly. They may be able to help you further.
