I’ve been a loyal FitBit customer since 2012 but will be finding a different fitness tracker to use. My last device was 7 months old when I started having issues. I had purchased it from Amazon and did not realize it was an unauthorized dealer. When I contacted Amazon, they said it was a FitBit issue. FitBit will not honor any warranty because it was a third party seller!! I did finally get Amazon to refund my money but I’m pretty disappointed in FitBit. Will not spend anymore money with them!

Unfortunately it's common for companies to not honor 3rd party retailer policies. If you want the benefit of full support with issues like yours, you're better off purchasing directly from the retailer themselves (in this case, Fitbit) since you would have had more options available to you.

Why would you be upset with Fitbit because Amazon allows non authorized sellers to sell on Amazon? If you buy from Amazon, make sure it says sold and shipped by Amazon. You'd get the warranty then.
