Versa 2 disconnecting and not counting steps properly

I have had this Versa 2 since Christmas and it has been quite disappointing. I have already had to reinstall as the watch could not accurately count my steps. I question that the problem is fixed.....And now the watch constantly has a problem pairing with my phone. I have a S9+. Please tell me there is a better suggestion out there rather then reinstall everything all the time.

I'm not aware of reinstalling tracker having anything to do with step count accuracy.

See How accurate are Fitbit devices? 

It probably depends on what you mean by "accurate step count".  It is not ever going to be 100% exact on step count.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

That was suggestion of the help chat offered by Fitbit after I told them I was not satisfied with the referral of reading material as to why my watch did not work properly.
