Versa 2 displays wrong date and time - not connected to any mobile device

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My wife has a versa 2.  The battery died, and after recharging, it now has the wrong date (yesterday) and way wrong time.  She has never used the app, so please don’t say it needs to sync.  It is not connected to any mobile device.  Try going out of the time/date screen and back, but that did nothing.  Any ideas?

Obviously not the answer you want, but there is no way to set the time other than via syncing through the app.  Feel free to come  back and tell me I was wrong if you find another way.

That makes no sense. Not everyone has a cell phone. Does the versa not work if you don’t own one?

Hi @ramonv  - what does your wife use to keep track of her daily measurement?

There used to be an app for the PC but that was discontinued.

@JohnnyRow is correct you need a Fitbit App to be able to sync the watch and set the time.

If you logout of your Fitbit App, she can login to sync snd set the time right.

She uses her fitbit.  I thought the app was optional.  I mean, the app for my Luxe is so poorly designed, I can see why she doesn't use it.  I assume it's the same app.  Now that I started "wearing" my fitbit in my pocket, I don't use the app anymore.  I used to have to log in to record my elliptical workouts.

I guess she'll have to create an account, or figure out what her username and password are, if she has one.

It is pretty lame that you HAVE to have a phone to use the watch, though.

BTW: I still see the fitbit pc "app" - all the same info as the phone app, but easier to use.

@ramonv - you can login here in any browser to consult your information but you will need an Android app or iOS app to sync and upload the the information.

It used to be possible using the PC app but syncing was discontinued.

To setup a watch you need an account so she needs to locate that information.

If you set up a new account you won't have access to any history and depending on the account some features may not work as before.

You can always chat via the Fitbit App, click profile photo, Help & support, Contact Customer support.

Okay, thanks.  But I still think it stinks that you are required to have a phone and download an app just to make one of the main functions of the watch work.  I mean, a watch should tell time w/o needing a phone and app.
If she has to set up a new account, no problem.  I doubt she has any history she cares about.  This thing is a watch and step tracker.  Don't need all that other stuff.
So you can't chat via the web site?  Again, you need a phone, an app, and a profile?  SMH
Profile photo?  Is that the very pale blue circle? oh, must be.

@ramonv  - How do I fix the time on my Fitbit device?

Also hold the watch button for 10 seconds till it vibrates and the logo appears and wait for it to restart and sync.

@ramonv  Please remember that none of us here work for Fitbit or designed the products or the app.  We are Fitbit users volunteering out time to offer our experience to try to help other users.  If you do not like the design of a Fitbit product, we have no control over that.  If you want to complain about the design of the product, you might choose to do so on the Product Feedback Board .

Tried that long ago.  Doesn't work.  And it's not a time zone thing, because it not an even amount of hours off.  Thanks anyway.

Yeah, but it's not like they're going to do anything about it.

@ramonv - just in case you missed a step, did you remove the watch Bluetooth entriy from the phone and in the Fitbit App click profile photo and "+ Set up a Device" and replace. This will make a new Bluetooth entry and connection to the app.

Make sure any other device which has connected to the watch previously is switched off and you restart the watch again before doing the setup.

I did remove the device from the phone.  Then I went to add it, and it refuses to connect.  It says Found It, followed by Connecting.  This goes on for hours.  So now the watch is completely useless. I can’t get past the first, multi-anguage set up screen.
