Versa 2 distance not accurate

Hi

I bought my Versa 2 on Monday. I run with friends and at the end of every run my distance is not the same as theirs. What is the problem? Hope I didn't waste my money buying a watch that isn't accurate.

Help me please!!!!!

First question is who has the correct distance?

Second question, which of the 3 possible methods are being used when recording the run?

Have you setup your stride?

Do you have a map of your run?

Rich, I'm having a similar problem. On the same 4 mile route the watch will record 3.6 miles and day and 4.5 miles the next. Steps are pretty consistent but mileage is not. And yes I have set my stride. I also track with my phone Fitbit app and GPS and it is always consistent at 4-4.1 miles

Mine is doing the same thing. I run with my daughter who uses a surge and hers is within a tenth of a mile of being accurate. On a 3-mile run mine is a half a mile off. I'm using the GPS, but I've tried it both ways and either way it comes up with about two and a half miles on a 3-mile run. I've been a fitbit user for years and loved it... this is a new issue for me. I've had a blaze and it was pretty accurate.  I'm so frustrated... ready to return the watch and go with something more accurate.
