Versa 2 doesn't stay connected to phone/Bluetooth

Extremely frustrated. About to return this item. I've done about it everything to keep my new Versa connected to my phone- uninstalled/re-install the Fitbit app, shut my phone off, turn Bluetooth on and off,  factory reset my Versa2... . Yes I have the option of always stay connected/synced . enabled. Still nothing. Please help. About to return item and switch over to something else. I've used Fitbit before my versa 2. I would hate to switch over to something else. Help!

Sorry to hear that your Versa 2 doesn't stay connected to your phone and thank you for troubleshooting this issue. Which phone are you using? Is it compatible? Let's try refreshing the link between your phone and your Versa 2 by doing the following:

  • Go to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there.
  • Restart your phone and restart your device
  • Check that no battery saving app/feature on your phone is affecting your Fitbit app.
  • Also, if you are using an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on.

Hello,
I have an LG V20 phone . I have restarted the Versa 2 and phone but there are still times the watch doesn't stay synced to the phone. I checked permissions and they are enabled.

I had the same problem and did all the troubleshooting recommend. I was fiddling with anything I could and went Into the setting under apps and Fitbit. My phone had options for GPS on while app is In use. That is what mine was set too. Had to change it to always run gps for Fitbit app. Fixed the problem. I was ready to return mine so maybe it might help you.
