I have the same problem.. charged to 100% for about 3 hours ago and now it’s already 63% 😔

I have force quit app, still draining battery. The only thing that works is turning off Bluetooth on my phone then just tracks steps however this is not good enough.

seems to be a software problem any updates on a fix would be much appreciated.

My Versa 2 battery suddenly lasts only about 4 hours.  Fully charged at midnight last night, dead by 4:00am.  Fully charged twice more today and nearly dead again within 4-5 hours. Have tried turning off all notifications, force quit the app, powered off and on the Versa 2, connected to wi-fi for any software updates, etc.  What else can I do?

Moderators should take these complaints seriously. If so many customers suddenly report this it’s something your developers should investigate and solve asap. Otherwise people will return their Fitbit because of malfunction even though an update might solve this if an update also caused it..

I’m having the same issue, battery draining quickly ever since today. I’m wondering if there was an update released over the weekend that’s caused it?

I wonder if this is the same issue?

Ok so I turned off Bluetooth turned phone off then kept Bluetooth off for 2 days so just logged steps and battery on my versa did not drain. When I needed to recharge my watch I  then uninstalled the Fitbit app reinstalled and logged back in- turned Bluetooth back on and has now keeping the charge again.

Not sure if it is due to reinstalling or if the issue has been resolved centrally.

Hope everyone else has managed to get a resolution.

If I may ask to help me with some analysis from my side on a similar problem, are/were you using or had installed the SPo2 clock face? I observed on my Versa 2 (purchased in Sept 2019 with no issues and good battery life until I installed the SPo2 face) that when I had that specific clock face installed my watch and iPhone battery drained significantly faster than without. For me the battery drains are directly related to the SPo2 watch face, Of course, YMMV…

I am using that clock face, and have done for a number of weeks. The battery issue only started yesterday for me.

Just curious, but have you removed it from your V2 and such? Testing a theory.

I’m having this exact issue too went from getting 4-5 days out of 100% charge and now I’m not even getting 24hrs, issue started on 31st of May

I had the same issue, I held all buttons in then sat the watch in rice for 3 days, charged it and it all seems to be working again battery not draining anymore and no more red flashing light.

I've been using the SPO2 clockface for many months with no problem, but I did remove it yesterday, along with all notifications, etc., and I turned off my iPhone's bluetooth. My Versa 2 battery lasted longer this time, but as soon as I turned my Bluetooth back on, it drained quickly. Going to try turning off bluetooth again, power cycling iphone, uninstalling Fitbit app, and reinstalling app before turning bluetooth back on.  Fingers crossed.

Not sure if this matters, but I removed the SPo2 face from watch, selected one of the Fitbit developed (Waveform in my case), and rebooted the watch I deleted the Fitbit app, rebooted the phone, reinstalled the Fitbit app, and set “Privacy->Location->Fitbit” to “while using” (and just deal with the silly messages about it needing to have it set to always). It is now 40+ hours since my last watch charge and my watch it is at 85% and the Fitbit app has used 8% of my iPhone battery.

Again, YMMV but that is what worked for me…

This is happening to me too! It started last week, I think it had recently done a software update. Battery lasts for about 5 hours after I take it off the charger. It used to last days!! I have the same clock face I always have, with no spo2 or anything weird. I even turned the heart rate and Bluetooth off on the watch and it didn't help 😞 I miss it. Please fix this, Fitbit.

This did not work for me.  Still draining.  Suspect it's due to an update.    Also, is the battery replaceable n a Blaze?

Hi everyone, thank your for all your replies confirming that you're still having trouble with your Versa 2 watches, and welcome to the new users in the Community forums.

Keep in mind that sing features such as always-on display and GPS require more frequent charging. If you turn on always-on display, Versa 2 has a battery life of up to 3 days, but it certainly shouldn't last only for a few hours.

If you already tried all the steps mentioned here earlier to improve the battery life of your watch and you continue to experience the same problem, the best way to get more immediate help for this problem is to chat with us online or give us a call. Click here to get connected.

I am having the same problem. My 2 month old versa just started losing charge in record time. It seems like a software problem since so many of us are experiencing it in the same time frame. It’s really frustrating to be in the middle of a workout and go from 80% to zero battery and have it shut down in under an hour.

UPDATE:  Late last night, with Bluetooth turned off, I  power cycled my iPhone, then deleted the Fitbit app, reinstalled it, and reconnected Versa 2 to iPhone via Bluetooth.  Battery has remained at "full" ever since, and sync is working normally. I will not reinstall the SPO2 clockface.  So I'm not returning my Versa 2 right away.
HOWEVER, my iMac has crashed unexpectedly, and in trying to get it back up, I saw my Fitbit Connect in the top menu, clicked on it to disconnect/remove, and got a message about the app "not responding."  The iMac is still unable to fully boot and open windows, etc., so I don't know if the Fitbit Connect app is still hung up or not.  Bluetooth keyboard and mouse are having issues as well.  Coincidence?
