Versa 2 firmware update72.1.23 -- messed up phone & lack of customer service

Upgraded firmware Wednesday.  Thursday couldn't swipe up to get daily date.  Did re-set multiple times.  Contacted support via chat.  Had me change clock face (don't know why).  Did nothing to help the problem.  Then said he had to check warranty -- I pointed out that the problem was Fitbits so warranty shouldn't be an issue.  Said team would contact me.  Team's response was we can't replace the watch but you can buy a new one for 30% off.  Why would I want a new product from a company that won't attempt to fix a problem said company caused..

What I want is a fix for the problem the new firmware has caused or a way to revert to the old firmware.

I thought it was just mine Versa2. Thanks for this. Looks like I may be getting an Apple Watch at this point.

Mines stuck with dots on the screen. Initially after rebooting and charging all day I got a screen that I couldn’t swipe. Now it’s back to the squares flashing on and off indicating an update. The app shows a Bluetooth connection but the Fitbit can’t find-Wi-Fi (the phone and app can). Well it’s 2.5 years old so I bought a new with £50 off I chose the Versa 4. But looking now Argos have the sense for £10 less than Fitbit direct. I always found the die around 1 - 2 years. You can get an Apple for £259 that will last forever- but too complicated and you have to charge it daily.

Yes an Apple for £259 BUT what a pain to charge daily and it’s like having a computer on your arm!

id really miss my Fitbit app and the stats I’ve got.

I have been looking into the Sense 2 and the Apple SE. they are pretty much the same price where I’m at. And I already have to charge my Versa everyday lol. Don’t get me wrong, I will definitely miss all the figures within the FitBit app and the community but the having to replace my watch every 2 years is a little ridiculous for the money. That and I really miss being able to respond to texts on my watch when I had my Samsung. With an IPhone you don’t get that option at all.
