Several days ago, I noticed the touchscreen on my fitbit was unresponsive (couldn't swipe down to the notification menu, couldn't turn off alarms, couldn't access the settings to do a reset) so I let the battery run out assuming after a full charge it would be back to normal. Instead, the device froze entirely, stuck on the loading/logo screen. Oppening the app it said battery depleted even after leaving it on the charger for 24 hours. The side button was unresponsive as well, so the only thing I could think of to do was try unpairing it from my phone and re-syncing. However, trying to set up a new device in the fitbit app is unable to find the versa 2, and I have no clue what to do next.
Is there any other possible solutions or should I consider it dead? This versa 2 is only about 9 months old (purchased in October 21).

Hi
My watch also stopped working out of the blue. I got in touch with the support team.
i got no explanation what the problem was but an offer to buy a new device with a 35% reduction voucher. The reduction would only apply on a certain type of watch. The new warranty would again be limited to 365 days while in the European Community it has to be at least 2 years.
Fitbit should be able to make it products last longer than 2 years. I believe the malfunctioning is inbuilt.

Assuming it is charged - this link might work for your watch too.
Note: it's possible it's the known factory reset bug that kills the watch.
If you use a PC to charge it it may connect/disconnect repeatedly and the most you can get from the display is 0% when it's not charged, after a week or so of not being used.
