This week that just ended at midnight Saturday, I had three days of exercise. Monday and Wednesday show up fine, but my 52 active minutes yesterday did not earn me a "day exercising." I hope this makes sense. Both the Versa 2 and the phone show the minutes just as they should. What is wrong is the tile that shows days of exercise. I have synced several times since yesterday. I STILL cannot make the phone app show three days of exercise instead of two.

It's great to see you on the Community @swampmilkweed. Sorry for the delayed reply.
Thanks for the details mentioned.
The exercise tile will show the activities that you've performed during the week. So, if you exercised but your activity wasn't tracked by either SmartTrack or using the exercise app, the tile won't show that you exercised. Could you let me know if your activity was tracked? What type of activity you performed?
Keep me posted!

I thought my post was clear. BOTH my Versa 2 and my phone DO SHOW the 52 minutes of walking for the day. They got it right. What did NOT happen is the tile that shows DAYS of exercise failed. That totally failed to see the 52 minutes of active minutes on my watch and on my phone. What type of exercise it was is irrelevant.
This is a miscommunication between the phone app and the tile that claims to show how many days of exercise. It never did show up. I just this minute scrolled back to last Saturday on my phone. The 52 active minutes are still there, but the tile for
DAYS of EXERCISE just never got it right.
I hope this is clear now. I did not lose any minutes or any steps. I am just annoyed that the tile for DAYS of exercise refused to ever acknowledge that I had 52 active minutes on Saturday September 28th.
I really do appreciate your help, but it is the phone app or somethings that has a flaw.

"Active minutes" and "exercise" are 2 different concepts.
I assume you are counting on auto-recognition of exercise. There is a minimum time required for each type exercise for it to count as an exercise session - I believe 15 minutes is the default. "Active minutes" are a certain level of intensity maintained for at least 10 minutes.
So you could take five 11-minute walks and get 55 active minutes, but not a recognized exercise session.
If you are concerned about getting exercise sessions, the surest way is to use the exercise app, selecting the workout type and starting and ending it manually. Anything tracked that way is counted as an exercise session.

How do I track my workouts with my Fitbit device?

Your answer would make sense, except this has not been my experience. I've been using a Fitbit for six years. I can actually remember that the 10-minutes of continuous exercise rule was implemented after I had my Zip for a few months. For the entire six years until Saturday, September 28, 2019, I got exercise days for a CUMULATIVE total of active minutes. It did not matter at all if the periods of activity were consecutive.
If Fitbit had suddenly implemented a change such as you describe, I think we would have been notified. I know I was notified when the 10 minute rule went into effect.
I appreciate your trying to help. I remember when you did help me a lot a couple of weeks ago when I was new to my Versa and floundering.
I have never needed any exercise app because until last Saturday, everything worked as it should.

Tap the 'Days of Exercise' tile; then the gear icon near top right. That will show the minimum time required for each type of workout to be auto-recognized as an exercise session. If they are 15 minutes, change them to 10 and see if that helps.

I do not see how that could help. The whole point is consecutive versus shorter intervals. You clearly said that 5 11-minute periods of activity would not count as an exercise day. As I said before, this is not my experience.
Even if you are right, that means that Fitbit is NOT following the latest medical/fitness medical advice. Science now knows that shorts bursts of activity DO COUNT. Fitbit should take notice.
Aside from the totally inaccurate sleep tile, I actually love my Versa 2. I have quit trying to sleep with it on as that was always wrong.
