Versa 2 has slowly stop responding and now won’t hold a charge

My versa 2 was a gift for Mother’s Day. In June it’s partially kept sleep and and heart rate stats (and continues). Waiting for update but none have corrected issue. The last few weeks my battery loses charge within a day. Sometime screen won’t react to touch. I have read to check your charging situation, reset watch and cleaning the prongs for charging. I have done all of this and no improvements. Had for a total of 5 months and feel it’s inadequate of a product. Was ecstatic in the beginning but now it’s troublesome and not worth it. Please advise on next step. Should I return and y’all fix said problems... if not a full refund? Thank you for your help.
