I’ve been trying to gradually intensify my workouts and I’m noticing more and more heart rate tracking discrepancy while working out. I especially notice them when my heart rate is over 110 bpm. Once I get to 120-150 bpm, especially within the first 30-40 minutes of my workout, I get heart rate readings below 90 bpm on the device, while a separate device is reading 139 bpm. These constant inaccuracies throw my workout all off bc I’ve got to stop what I’m doing and fiddle around with the bands position and try to troubleshoot the device. Well I still have not found a solution after going through the following troubleshooting steps: soft reboot, multiple wrist band changes, wrist position changes, disconnect and reconnect to device. Today I gave up and called customer support who told me to factory reset the device. So I’m going to try that and see how it does. I’ll check back tomorrow after a full days use. If anyone has had this problem and knows of a solution please help me. Thx

@SunsetRunner It's great to see that you've visited the Fitbit Community!
Let me help you with your heart rate reading on your Versa 2 and thank you for troubleshooting this issue. I suggest you clean the back of your device with cotton and rubbing alcohol and restart it. Turn the heart rate off, save and sync then turn it on save and sync again. Also check these tips to improve the heart rate reading on your device. Note that sweat can cause difficulties for the heart rate sensor. Several members have mentioned using a sport wristband to quickly remove excess sweat from the area to help the device have a good reading.
Let me know how it goes.

Bit strange that a sportwatch can’t seem to handle sweat and that Fitbit suggests to buy an extra band from between 30 and 60 dollars to solve this🤨🤔

I have same issues with my versa 2. Had versa for 2 years, never a problem. Today HR went to 39 in middle of a HIIT workout. I've tried all the solutions over and over. Completely mucks up my workout stats. Pointless that you are meant to keep checking stats and cleaning back during workout, with a fitness watch! No help with issue although I've seen quite a few people report it. Makes you wonder how many people havent bothered to report it. Give you the same stupid solutions that we've all tried! They even told me maybe I'm moving to quick!!!

Sorry it took so long to post any progress with my issue. So the only thing that temporarily helps is wiping the sensor and the area on my wrist with alcohol right before I leave the house for a workout. Which I still feel like I shouldn’t have to do. I’m just going to spring for an Apple Watch or Garmin Fenix and sell this. I’d prefer the GPS for topographical maps anyways. The Versa 2 is just too frustrating and my workouts are one of my main stress management tools.

Yeah I feel I should just sell it and buy something else. Shame as I loved my fitbit versa and thought this could only be better. Ridiculous when the point of having the sport watch is to track your calories burned and it is so inaccurate. Not even slightly out but wildly out, telling me my HR is in 30s and 40s! You should see my HR graph-its straight up and down from 140 to 40! It does help to wipe back but then happens again as soon as I sweat. I have lost all trust in it. Shame they arent doing anything about this issue
