I don't know what's happening. My watch just stopped tracking my heart rate two nights ago. My sleep is no longer being tracked and when I work out I have no heart rate (have no idea about how many calories I've burned).
I've checked the settings to see if the heart rate feature is on (it is) and I have also turned it on and off multiple times during the past two days. I have also reset the watch over 20 times now and still nothing.
I don't know if there is anything I can do. I use my watch every day - as I'm sure everyone on here does. Especially with COVID happening all I have is time right now and I really rely on having my heart rate monitored to know how many calories I burn :'(
Maybe I should switch brands or something if there really isn't anything I can do. I find it kind of strange how ONLY a couple days after my 1 year warranty was up - is when this started happening? I'm really sad 😞 I hope there is some new update that fixes all this

Hi, mine have been doing the same thing for the last 2 months, heart rate stop working, not tracking at all, and goes on/off often. Call the support center, was told that there was a virus in the software system and it was being worked on. Only had it for 7 months. Don't know whether to return and get another one, go through warranty to replace, or just toss it all together. I do love it but to go through all this is nerve-racking. My husband's Samsung Galaxy A20 does better than the Fitbit and then some and he hasn't had one problem with it since he bought it himself for his birthday last November.

Wow! This has been going on for that long?? I only went through 2 days of this nonsense and I was freaking out.. I can't even imagine 2 months of it! 😮
I also love the versa but if it can't do what we bought it to do, it just isn't worth it at all! I'm thinking about switching too - guess I need to start researching?
Side note: I did a workout today and I had no heart rate (at all) but it showed that I was "burning calories" however, it was only 40% of what I usually burn on a regular day doing a similar workout. Turned it on and off so many times.. sad 😞 This virus is really messing with my vibe.
I'm sorry we're all going through this and I hope this virus gets fixed soon!

Exact same issue... stopped 2 days ago, I didn’t realize as my versa battery ran out as well while camping, charged it back up and ever since no HR monitor, just “—“ blank lines... have tried all sorts of resets, settings changes and nothing has helped here either.

Finally, st long last someone got an answer why the heart rate monitor comes & goes. A virus in the software, really!?! It also affects the original Versa as well which is what I had. My HRM went out 1st time for 5 days & finally came back on, but only lasted 2 wks then died again..Today was the 6th day so after having done ALL the recommended troubleshooting, it was still NOT working so.bought a V2. FITBIT y'all need to get this issue fixed ASAP. Your customers pay for a quality smart watch & deserve a device free of a MAJOR bug like the HRM not working since its a key feature!

This problem is unacceptable! After paying so much for a watch you would expect it to work at all times. How does a bug/virus impact the heart rate sensor? I do not understand. I really hope this issue is sorted out quickly and everyone can get back to their normal activities with a working watch 😞

Mine is doing the same no readings since Sunday 😞 I've done all the same things as you with no luck! Hopefully fitbit can fix it if its an issue !

I agree.. I accidentally listed as a versa 2 but mine is just versa... regardless, it’s an annoying issue to say the least and there have been posts about this happening for months so yes, I agree they should get their act together and figure out the issues/bug if that’s what they’re claiming is the issue.
To add on... I just finished another factory reset and still no HR monitor on mine, so I think it’s potentially finished. Probably the last watch I buy from Fitbit as it hasn’t performed the way I’d have hoped it would and if it’s true this issue has been ongoing for months, just shows they’re not too serious about customer support/care.

If there is a way to fix this issue and get rid of the virus somehow - I'd be so happy! But I'd be scared to update the watch in the future - because obviously this last update we all did, is what screwed the heart rate up! 🤔
I'm glad I'm not alone in this but mostly very annoyed that this is happening to us 😞 We paid a lot for a functioning watch and for the money we spent, you'd think it would last longer and maybe I dunno function?!
Hopefully we can get some answers soon

Just wondering if anyone here has heard from the support team?
I really need some support right now 😣

Not here, customer service hasn’t reached out/gotten back to me at all. I’ve kinda given up on it and am using it more as a regular watch these days. Hahaha... at least it still connects to my phone so I can see messages.

Lol! Same 🥴
Fitbit should stop saying HRM is a feature for the versa and slash the price cuz heck WHAT A WAAAAAAASTE 😭

Same issue here but mine has no heart rate & stops counting steps throughout the day.... Any fix? I've reset multiple times, & did a factory reset...

We haven’t been able to find one, and no one from fit bit has chimed in to let us know if there’s a fix yet either.

That answer would be a BIG FAT NO! Which to me, as well as probably the rest of their customer base, does NOT speak well of their customer service, Corona Virus, or not!

Same! I purchased my Blaze 2 winter '19. I woke up one morning with a resting heartrate of 199 BPM!!! I DON'T THINK SO!!
I tried letting the battery die, uninstalling it and reinstalling it, which updated the watch. Still not working. So far today it says I've burned 3600 calories, and it's only lunch time!
Now I know why people turn to Apple products.
