So tired of this from a 240$ tracker?!!!
The previous update messed up HR, overall it tracked accurately, but occasionally would drop 60+bpm. Trust me, mid 200 stepups my HR didn't sudden go from 160 to 94...it would stay at that low value until I stopped what I was doing... Stuck a paper towel under it making the hr go to nothing... Then pull the towel out... Poof 160 again... Same with zumba... Same with leg days. I exercise the same way, 6 days a week. I know my HR fluctuations. I have been annoyed for months... No fixes, no corrections just the same blah blah, reset, turn hr off and on... Finally an update... I hoped it would fix the daily, but not 24/7, broken HR... Nope
So this latest update broke HR altogether, 24/7. It's off all the time. This matters as I'm still working to gain weight. When it's misreading my HR as 100 instead of 150 for a 2 hr workout, needless to say it has me eating at least 200 calories too little each day... Yes I started losing weight I can't afford to lose wearing a size 2 to 4.
This is not a small thing guys. And if your response matches last busted update, ie months and months of nothing. I'm going for a polar watch bc clearly spending 200-300 dollar on a fitbit gets you nothing but a busted sleep tracker.the only question will be how do you honor your failure to meet promised expectations with my purchase of your product??
Frankly you have an obligation to your buyers to fix the software issues or issue replacements or refunds. This is not a one way obligation. So far you've done nothing given all of the threads on multiple forums all with the same problem.
So what are you going to do fitbit. You promised a service and product and haven't delivered. That's legally tricky ground and a lot of people standing on quite solid ground with their displeasure?!

Same exact issue. If I turn off HR and shut down device, restart device, turn on HR, it will work for a few minutes tops. I have noticed that the green light goes out and once it does, you are done. Same HR until it happens to update again. Mine started, I think before the update, but I installed the update hoping it would fix it but no luck.

I've also complained about this in various posts. Due to the inaccurate HR since recent firmware update, my daily calorie burn is off by 200-300 as HR monitoring is completely inaccurate during exercise. Kind of hard to maintain your fitness goals...

That could be great but my concern is that all of us had this happen after the update... Ie a software issue so when you set up the new device and it updates keep an eye out. If you are able, I'd love to hear if the problem persists on your replacement device. I'm basically left guessing and adding guessed calories to my daily burn hoping I'm getting enough. I have other GI/spinal issues that make eating a lot tough so just pushing food is not an easy thing.
I hope this fixes your issues! Thanks for letting us know 😁🙏

Exactly... I would have saved myself the money and purchased a basic pedometer lol

Thanks for letting me know. I was hoping if I factory reset I could refuse updates but it auto updates, and yup... Same HR problems 🙄 I will be sure to update the thread if I get anywhere!

Good luck to you too. I have not had great luck with my Fitbits lasting as long as I think they should but this is the first one to die before the warranty expired. I keep going back to FitBit because of the data representation. I thought if I bought the higher end Versa I might get longer life but I guess not. Again if yours is under warranty, I recommend contacting support, they do a great job.
Take care, Jim
