Same here after 13 months... You're lucky it happened before the end of your 12 months warranty..

heart rate monitor stopped working as well. Under 2 years.
Only a discount offered and they refused to admit it was a common problem.

That's what I did. I got a replacement, but that one has the same problems.

Well... mine also stopped working... I guess I need to find another manufacturer as I have reinstalled and factory reset my device at least ten times, to no avail! Frustrating that they wrote code for an update, but they won't write code to fix it... it was nice knowing you Fitbit...

Even their discount is a scam.
Only good on regular priced watches.
Fitbit Sense is on sale today, but won't accept their 35% discount code.
Todays sale price is less then their regular price minus their 35% discount, so who needs it.
NO MORE FITBITS FOR ME.

This best answer is telling me that there is no fix if you are out of warranty. I have the exact problem and nothing works for me. Not a single person got a solution for this problem other than getting a replacement. After reading all this posts, I gave up trying to fix. I would not recommend Fitbit as its life time is under two years.

I too no longer have my heart rate or sleep being tracked by my versa 2. I have also done all the troubleshooting suggestions with no change.in tracking... I have had my fitbit for 2 years it's the 2nd one I've bought. I love the app. I'm now concerned with the the value in the brand.. I work so hard to afford myself little luxuries and if fitbit products don't want to last more than 18 months maybe it's not such a great product. If an update an disable SO MANY users why not fix the update??? I won't purchase another fitbit for fear that this will be a reoccurring situation. Please advise me, us... all your affected fitbit users that you are working to resolve your update issue and when we can expect our devices to be restored to full functionality. Thank you for reading this

I feel played. Here I am in December, relating to problems and issues so many people had in past months. So disappointed. This was intentional on their end.

This is how I feel. I liked my fitbit versa 2 a lot. Had the same 35% discount from some random person. Happened after a firmware update for me too. I am probably going to switch to an apple watch next year because of this. Fitbit has such better battery life and sleep tracking, but if it only lasts < 2 years it is wasteful and costly. They need to roll out a firmware update to stop this issue. No reason a HR sensor should just run for a few minutes and turn off.

I have had a Fitbit for just over 2 yrs, first one HR failed, replaced, replacement, same issue, replaced, 3rd one screen fell out, replaced, now out of warranty - HR failed.
now not interested even taken account of the above.
If you are going to build something and attempt to complete with the likes of apple and Garmin then at least make manufacture it to the same level.
3 replacements in 2 years is terrible

I just hit the two year mark on my Versa 2, and the heart rate and O2 display stopped working after the latest firmware update. I tried the factory reset a few times, and the sensors would work for a few hours and then stop. Seeing so many similar posts here, I have to wonder if this is forced obsolescence. I'm going to attempt to downgrade the firmware to an earlier version. I don't know if this is even possible. What I know is not possible is buying a new Fitbit every two years. My Ionic died after only one year.

Absolutely. Fitbit also lost out on a premium user, because without a working watch, there is no point in paying for that service.
😅. In fact, pretty sure that paying $80 a year should get me, a new/ refurbished pebble every time one of them shiz malfunction.
