It will soon fail again. Tried that many times before I out them in the recycling and went with Garmin, same money, far better build and operation

My laser Light just stopped working on my Fitbit Versa 2 and not recording my heart rate or sleep time

knowing I already have a high resting heart rate

I decided it is best just to drop in the trash can

I am experiencing the same issue with the heart rate monitor not working. Also, my Fitbit will not sync steps in challenges. I’m thinking that it is also best to trash it. I’m going to consider going with another brand.

No permanent rescue to fix and Fitbit ain’t interested. Had 3 replacements in 2 years, 2 for this issue.
Now a Garmin owner, different beast. Def recommend.
I have the Venu 2 plus which already does the stuff that apple and Samsung are showing off with now. Had it 12 months. Battery last 5-7 days 12 months on

They are replacing mine as there is no fix … as per the above … kinda crazy to think about it. A major gap for a company in the tech/watch business. Anyway. Out of my control. Will see how the replacement does and consider switching when a free replacement is no longer an option.

Hello everyone I have the same problem.  The problem first started about 10 days before my warranty expiration and I figured it was an issue with an update for the watch so I didn't immediately make a claim.  The warranty passed before I started seriously trouble shooting and I went through all of the suggestions support had to offer and the monitor and other related tools never started working again.  If you have this problem be sure to make a claim IMMEDIATELY!  If it is a day after your warranty they will not replace but instead offer a 35% discount to fork over more money to them for another faulty product.  I hope this helps someone who is having trouble with this issue and maybe consider going with a different company.

19 March 2023.  I have had a Fitbit Versa 2 for just over 2 years.  The heart rate monitor stopped working  27th Feb 23  I have tried all the fixes mentioned everywhere.  After having read the numerous comments of everyone about the same problem I realize there is not anything I can do. I was very disappointed in the comment about the lack of customer service. It is obvious to anyone that this is a product problem and they should be replaced for free.  They will not so I am no longer a Fitbit customer and will do my best to ensure nobody I know is as well.

My Versa 2 heart monitor is working intermittently, at best.  When it's not working, the green light under the watch is not blinking.  I tried all the fixes.  Yes, the heart monitor is turned on in Settings...  LOTS of Versa 2 owners are having this problem.  All Fitbit needs to do is issue a firmware update fixing the problem, or allow us to revert back to the previous firmware version.  They won't do either.  I'm very unhappy with Fitbit.

They won’t issue an update for a EOL model.
I had this issue 3 years ago, had mine replaced twice under warranty then gave up and went to Garmin. Far better build, firmware, operation.

Thanks

These things keep happening.  Always after my warranty expires. Fitbit offers no fix but will gladly let you spend more money on another one.  I’m on my 3rd.  Time for an Apple Watch

They won't because they are trying to get rid of Versa 2. They want you to
buy new ones.

Same problems here - I guess I’m lucky as I almost got 20-months before it pooched. I’ve done every step I could find including factory reset 4-times, changed clocks how many times, etc & nothing. Stopped working June 8 for heart and sleep. I’m a watch junkie and I’m out on Fitbit. Seems to be a common problem and should be a relatively easy fix. Don’t care if I have to spend $500, make it last and make it reliable. I have a watch collection with much older pieces that work like a charm.

It seems a very strange marketing strategy to frustrate customers with Versa 2’s to the point where we make the effort to communicate our less than stellar experiences hoping to convince us to buy newer versions. At this point, a 35% discount towards another FitBit product wouldn’t motivate me to ever consider their products again. In our family, we have 3 with FitBit and 2 with Apple Watches - guess who has not had issues with their watches?  Guess who is not buying FitBit again?
