Hi all! I wanted to share my experience having the same issue today. My versa 2 worked this morning, I downloaded a firmware update, (not sure if that had anything to do with it) and all of the sudden the monitors quit displaying live data. I tried everything, even factory resetting, and nothing worked. My friend who I bought it from suggested trying a different clock face. It worked! I hope this helps somebody avoid all the hassles I went through. Good luck!

The heart-rate tracker on my fitbit versa 2 also stoped working last week, and at the same time its battery dies crazily fast. I used to charge it once every week, but now, it can not even last half a day.

and I did everything suggested here and in other forums. But I could not fix it. And it seems like it happens a lot with fitbit watches.

I was going to buy the new fitbit next year, but with this problem I will never going back to fitbit.

I ran into exactly the same problem this morning. Versa 2 heart rate monitor was good yesterday and broke today. I only wear Versa 2 while walking in the morning. Didn't drop or expose to water. I am going to follow you, not to buy any more Fitbit. Apple watch 3 is only little more than Versa 2. All my iPhone's have been extremely trustworthy. I am going to try an Apple watch. Thanks.

Guess what happened after I tried to reset my watch after the heart-rate tracker stopped working???? it did not come up again!!! that is really wierd. because I was not using it for a few days, so I am sure nothing has happened to it during the last days. And after that it stopped working. that is CRAZY.

None of this worked. I have had trouble with this watch since I bought it a year ago I am tired of contacting Fitbit and not getting anywhere with them. it has never calculated the steps correctly from the beginning and I have been a long time Fitbit user. I just want a working Watch

Can you help me. I have followed all the steps from your website. And I have done them multiple times nothing has worked. I feel like it’s going to completely give out any day. These watches are supposed to be built for exercise and it doesn’t seem to be able to handle any of that within a year. It’s not tracking my heart rate it’s not properly tracking my steps and it’s not tracking my sleep End it is also not tracking my get moving. These watches are not cheap and to have to go buy a  new watch after only a year is not going to be very good for business. I’m very disappointed that this is happening.

It is not going to work. Once it updates it will not work again and Fitbit
won't reverse it or fix the problem.

Exactly why I went to Garmin, what a difference between the 2, easy to use, faster. Lasts 7 days on a charge and no dearer

My exact sentiments. Fed up with Fitbit now.

I'm right with you, in total this is fitbit #4 in as many years. Right around end warranty there's an update and it either stops working, doesn't hold a charge, or seems to randomly "develop" some other issue that causes a failure. Then to boot the discount has a limited usage on products almost guaranteeing the same result later. As far as I'm concerned fitbit is a rip off to consumers.

Unfortunately when my fitbit versa 2 stopped working, I made a mistake and got the new versa 3, but after 2 month of working, it turned off suddenly and never worked again. and my husband's versa 2 also stopped working last week. So, we have 3 fitbit watches (two versa 2 and one versa 3) that that do not work. This brand is the worst. I am warning everyone, DO NOT BUY FROM FITBIT. IT IS THE WORST.

I’m never going back to Fitbit now. My versa 2’s heart rate sensor stopped
working first and then it stopped working completely. Happened just after
an update pushed by Fitbit. Is it a coincidence? Maybe. But they’ve lost me
for good. I’m sticking with G Shock now until Apple/garmin start making
good watches with longer battery life. --

I've had 2 Versa 2's break, one in the pool, the other just has issues that are caused by something in the software (the back button doesn't work, except to turn off, on, or restart the watch) then the heart rate sensor, other one died in the pool.  I finally got a Garmin and must say I don't know why I didn't do it sooner.  My only problem with my venu is that the software sucks, it is very glitchy with notifications, and stalls loading things.  One thing Fitbit does right is software, but not hardware quality.

Same issue here. Since last update:

- no heart rate

- no sleep tracking

- steps will show in my step tracker but will not go into a week or weekend warrior competition.

have also tried ALL suggestions… super frustrating and makes me want to move away from FitBit all together

I decided to leave Fitbit for good. Moved away to a Garmin, although it's a
little bit expensive, it's worth the upgrade.

My not-tracking-heartbeat problem was fixed by factory reset. Though I am not an advanced user but I still want to see my heart rate and see how much calories I burned. Both my daughters have apple watch with GPS from Walmart. Only $159 each. They never ever had any problem with their watches. I am going to throw away my three fitbit and get an Apple watch. Pretty much tired of finding solution for problems that should not exist in the first place. Good lock everybody.
