Hello, my Versa 2's heart rate function stopped working on Jan 27th, 2021. This was after the latest firmware update to my watch. I completed a factory reset and performed all the protocols in the manual and through the community. My watch is definitely out of warranty, but was hoping that someone could help because I do love the watch and use it for running everyday. Thanks, Jim

Hi @SunsetRunner, welcome to the Community Forums.
Thanks for bringing this to our attention and for trying some troubleshooting steps before posting over here. To better assist you with this, can you please let me know if the heart rate sensors of your Versa 2 are still flashing? Or are they completely unresponsive? Did you experience this situation in the past or is it the first time? To fix this heart rate tracking issue, I recommend you to check the information that's specified on our help article: Why don't I see my heart rate on my Fitbit device? and try the troubleshooting steps that are specified there. Please let me know if the issue persists.
Looking forward to your reply. Let me know if you have any additional questions.

I was finally able to sync my Galaxy J7Star phone to my versa 2 with the latest update today but the heart rate monitor is not recording. The heart rate sensor still flashes. I have done all the suggestions including restart the fitbit. I uninstalled and reinstalled the Fitbit app on the phone. Still no heart rate. Would like resolution.

Hi @KarenB18, welcome aboard.
I'm sorry to know that you're experiencing difficulties with the heart rate sensors of your Versa 2. Can you please let me know when was the first time you experienced this situation and how many times since then? The heart rate sensors of your device are normally flashing? Are you using a Fitbit original clock face or a third-party one? Lastly, can you please let me know if you already tried the steps from our help article: Why don't I see my heart rate on my Fitbit device?
I'll be waiting for your reply.

This afternoon, after I updated with the 3.37.1 update which allowed me to finally sync my phone again with the app. Ever since I updated this afternoon, the heart rate monitor is not working. The heart rate sensor on the Fitbit itself flashes. Well, one of the four flashes. Are all four supposed to flash? And yes I have done all the steps listed in the article. And yes I am using one of the fitbit clock faces and not a third party.

Also, this is the first time that the heart monitor stopped working.

This has happened to my Versa 2 as well. Heart Rate and oxygen sensors no longer working all of a sudden. I tried what you mentioned above. Nothing works. I reset multiple times, restarted my phone, checked Bluetooth and all other settings, etc. The lights no longer work at all. Even some of the other settings are not acting the same. My notifications are on, but I don't get them sometimes, my hourly steps aren't syncing between my watch and the app, despite refreshing/syncing multiple times, etc. I bought this Versa 2 because my Versa started to have issues so I upgraded. It hasn't even been a year, and right now this tracker is not doing half of what I purchased it for.

I went back through the faqs again. I checked my device settings...and the heart rate was turned off! Turned back on. Now it is working. Yay! Sorry to waste your time.

I wish this was the case with mine. In the settings it's on- not working and no lights ever. Started 2-3 days ago.

I also would like to add, I noticed when the sensors were last working (Wednesday), it showed I had 748 zone minutes, in a 70 minute period, then it stopped working. I wasn't working out that day.

I am experiencing poor band heart rate tracking after this update as well. I first noticed on my workout on Jan28 where midway through my workout, the recorded heart rate dropped from 139 to 72. Then 3/4 of the way through it kind of started tracking right. This has continued to happen for every cardio workout since, with varying points of accuracy and results that couldn't possibly be correct.
Will the new OS fix this? Will it make it worse? Help!

Mine did this after the update. I have discovered it was turned off. On your watch, go to settings then heart rate, and see if yours has too. Mine's fine again now I've turned it back on! Infuriating though!

This was a good thought - mine was already on. I did turn it off and back on again just for giggles. We'll see if it has any impact.
