During workouts in Exercise mode, my Versa 2 Heart Rate display blanks momentarily a few times during the Workout. The blanking out occurs more during the beginning of the Workout. I believe the recording of Heart Rate still continues as there is no interruption in the Heart Rate graph throughout the exercise.
What can be done to rectify this?

Hi there, @Jim744. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the issue with your Versa 2.
Occasionally your device may have difficulty getting a strong signal, especially during exercises that cause your arm to move vigorously such as high-intensity interval training or boxing. Try to relax your wrist and stay still for up to 10 seconds. You might also notice a spike or dip in your reading as your device finds your heart rate. In both cases, normal tracking should resume shortly. For more information, see What factors can affect my heart-rate reading on my Fitbit device?
Hope that helps.

Thanks, Guy, for your suggestion. If I do a restart will all the past records and data be retained?

Thanks MarreFitbit. I think you may be right as my arms do move a lot and quickly during the initial bit of my exercise which is HIIT; and the readings do spike or dip sometime into my exercise. Thanks for the link; I'm better informed now.

OK, I got the answer to my question about retention of date: "Restarting your device turns it off and on without deleting any activity data."

Does this (not displaying periodically) mean that the heart rate value is just not being displayed (but is still known) or is it really not recognized and thus also not being recorded during that moment (or moments) and thus no value is available for tracking and graphics? Is it at all related to “sweat” that starts to accumulate during a vigorous walk or workout?
