Versa 2 heart rate tracking accuracy

I'm just so disappointed with the heart-rate monitor on my Versa 2.   About 80% of the times that I glance at my watch, the heart rate is off - and I don't mean by a few beats, I mean by 30-40 percent.  The slightest movement causes the measurements to go berserk.  Just now I was sitting at my desk, I got up and walked across the room, looked at my watch and my HR was 97.  I know in reality it couldn't have been more than about 65.  That's a 50% error.  That's the normal behavior of this device.  I've had two Versas and now the Versa 2.  I've tried all the ridiculous gymnastics Fitbit wants you to go through to get an accurate reading.  I've worn it high, low, loose, tight.  I've worn it under my wrist and on top.  I even shaved the hair on my wrist hoping to improve it.

I'll go for a one-mile walk, and at the end it tells me my peak HR was 140 and average was 118.  Now, we're talking about a very fit individual walking at a brisk pace on flat ground.  I'm sure my HR never breaks 105 on these walks.  The information is useless, plus the other biometrics derived form the heart rate, such as calories burned and VO2 Max, are unreliable.

Come on, Fitbit!  Stop joking around that you have real technology here!  It's just a blinking green light on the back of watch.
