Versa 2 is not recording sleep

I have read a lot of community posts about this subject.  I have tried most of them.  It will record my sleep a night or 2 and then nothing.  It worked fine when I first bought it in January but if it’s not working I will to return it.  My older Alta worked better.  Any help or how do I return it.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @Diana49. I am sorry for the delayed response.

I appreciate your participation in the Forums and sharing that your Fitbit Versa 2 is not recording sleep. Thank you for your efforts to resolve this. I totally understand how you are feeling as your previous tracker worked better and I am here to help you. I recommend doing the following:

  1. Please confirm that your sleep settings are normal and not sensitive: What is the difference between the normal and sensitive sleep setting in the Fitbit app?
  2. Restart your device by following the steps from this help article: How do I restart my Fitbit device?
  3. Try sleeping with the watch on your non-dominant hand if you haven't been doing it already
  4. Confirm that the watch is snug on your wrist.

You can find more information about tracking sleep in this help article: How do I track my sleep with my Fitbit device?

Regarding your concern, Fitbit has a 45-day return policy, so anything purchased directly from Fitbit can be returned for a refund for any reason within 45 days of shipment. If you've purchased from a retailer, you'll need to return your product directly to the retailer, following their return process. This is generally printed on your receipt, though you can also find it on the retailer's website. Note that we're unable to influence retailer policies. You can read our full return policy here

I'll be around if you need further assistance.
