Versa 2 is not syncing my steps accurately after the update

Hey everyone, I have a Versa 2 that I wear everyday. I updated the Fitbit app on my phone recently, and ever since the update..my steps have been SOOOO off on the watch and the phone. For instance, I finished with about 9k steps before midnight (I'm a night owl and I put my watch up for charge around 1130pm)...however, it now says for today (after midnight, so new day without wearing watch) that I have 150 steps. It kept going up from 50, to 73, etc. The watch is literally laying there charging. I have restarted the watch, turned Bluetooth off and on, unpaired the watch to the app, etc. Any ideas?
