Versa 2 is not tracking my AZM accurately

Hi. Can anyone please help me. 
I’ve had my fit bit since March. All has been great. 
Since a few days ago  it doesn’t seem to be not updating active zone minutes. 
I’ve  been walking between 15,000-20,000 steps per day, this has always gone down as zone minutes as I walk at a rather quick pace at times. The last couple of walks I’ve been on it’s only noted it as 4 active minutes and hasn’t even recognised it as exercise either when other times it always has!
I have restarted my phone and watch. And it has the latest update.
please can anyone advise.

Zone Minutes is all based on heart rate.  On phone app, tap Zone Minutes circle and it will show the heart rates for the various zones, the beginning of Fat Burn being required for any Zone Minutes.  If you look at the workout summary heart rate charts for past workout when you were getting Zone minutes, I expect you will see your heart rate was at least part of time up in Fat Burn zone.  One possibility is that you were mostly just barely into the Fat Burn zone, and the past couple of days, your heart rate was just just a bit lower.  Just a couple of beats difference can be the difference between earning Zone Minutes or not, though it really isn't significant in terms of health benefit.

But I am surprised those didn't get recognized as exercise sessions so you would have still gotten heart rate graphs of them and could have seen better if you were just under the zones.  I expect you have been relying on auto-recognition of your walks, which usually works well.  But you might try using the Exercise App on the Versa 2, selecting Walk, and start and end times.  This guarantees is will be recognized as a workout and you will be able to look at the heart rate graph to compare it to the zone limits.  Sometimes I also find it helpful to look at heart rate chart on fitbit.com dashboard where it seems easier to see more detail on a big screen.

Another possibility is that the heart rate reading might have just been messing up the past few days.  That happens sometimes, especially with optical heart rate sensors.

Let me know what you find out, if anything.

First, simple checks: Are you getting heart rate measurements?

Aside from zone minutes, do other daily totals look normal? i.e. daily step total, calorie burn.

 

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
