The GPS on my Versa 2 is not accurate and hasn’t been recording kilometres properly. Last week I was on a run and it recorded 5km which I knew was incorrect. I got home and compared two previous runs and it was clear that I hadn’t done the full 5km yet.
Today I ran a 10km and the watch has measured it as 11.75km. Again, this is incorrect and during the race it was tough to know where I was because it was recording 1 every 700 metres or so. The speed was also frozen at 5’40 for the whole time, so that was pointless.
My question is, is this a Fitbit issue, or a problem with my phone’s GPS? It seems like something needs recalibrating, but I don’t know how to fix it.

Your phone probably has a fitness app? I use Samsungs, and track bike miles with their free health app. You can turn off use GPS on the watch, and test with a phone app. I have actually been doing it this way for years. I still activate the bike exercise on the watch, but track miles on the phone health app. Saves the watches battery life, and I still get activity credit on the Fitbit.

Hi there, @bhulaten1. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I'm sorry to hear that your Versa 2 is not tracking your GPS data accurately. I understand how annoying this can be, I will do my best to help you with this. @MarkMM Thank you so much for your input!
Please note Fitbit Versa 2 uses the formula below to calculate distance. Your stride length is determined by your height and sex. Steps x Stride Length = Distance Traveled
Please note when you track an activity with GPS, your device calculates your distance using GPS data rather than steps. If you begin moving before you get a GPS signal, your device calculates distance using your steps until GPS connects.
To update your stride length, track a run with GPS or measure your stride length manually. For more information, see Can I change my stride length in my Fitbit account?
For more information about GPS, see: How do I use GPS on my Fitbit device?
