I bought a versa 2 watch a few months ago and everything has been working great up until the last couple of weeks, I recently did an update on the watch and put a new strap on so not sure if anything to do with that but any time I walk into a shop now or supermarket the alarm goes off, anyone had this issue or know why it would keep happening? Been 3 or 4 different shops now. Thanks in advance.

Hi there, @Hilly1873. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the inconvenience with your Versa 2.
I've personally, never experienced this with any of my Fitbit devices. However, a friend of mine did a couple of years ago. After setting off store anti-theft alarms for weeks, one day he decided to walk in without wearing his Fitbit Blaze. We were shocked that the alarm still went off! After several minutes of testing several items in his possession, we learned that the security tag for his wallet (which was purchased the same time as his Blaze) had not been removed. Have you removed your Versa 2 then walked through to confirm that it is the Fitbit device? Have you tried switching back to the old strap?

Hello, I’ve not tried that yet so will do next time I’m at the shops, I had to get a new strap as the rubber strap that came with the Fitbit was actually irritating my skin so got 2 new ones from Amazon. My wallet I’ve had for a few years so can’t be that and didn’t have anything else on me that could be setting them off.

@Hilly1873 Sorry for the misunderstanding, I wasn't referring to your wallet per se, I was just saying what happened to my friend. However, If you purchased something recently (besides your straps), please take a look at that to see if by any chance the item still has the tag.
Let me know if switching the straps stop the inconvenience with the security alarms.
