Versa 2 is stuck on the Fitbit logo screen

My Fitbit is stuck on the Fitbit logo and goes on/off as if you were looking at the face to turn on the auto screen. It did this so much that it killed the battery within a few hours. I tried to do a hard reset multiple times and then charged it fully when I got home, still having the same issue.

Hi @LAG2015, welcome to our Fitbit Community. I'd like to follow up and help you with your Versa 2 since it's stuck on the Fitbit logo. By the way, thank you for trying to get this issue resolve before contacting our forums.

In order to avoid providing the same information, let me know how the hard reset was performed. In the meantime, try a regular restart as described in this help article. After this, check out if your watch starts up properly and shows the clock face with your stats properly.

Looking forward to your response..

Hello!

Looking at the steps on the help guide it says to press the back button on my Fitbit Versa 2 - I assume that’s referring to the side button as there is no button on the back?

The hard reset I did was holding down the side button until the screen blacked out, waited 2 seconds and then pressed the side button again which brings up the Fitbit logo and then stays there. I let the battery go flat yesterday to see if that would do anything but unfortunately it’s still stuck on the logo screen this morning even after repeating the above steps. When I put the Fitbit on charge there’s no vibration but it does still charge. After turning the device off it turns itself back on to open the logo screen as well.

Thank you 😊

I have tried both a regular reset of holding the back button for 10 seconds as well as holding all 3 buttons at the same time anywhere from 10 seconds to 20 seconds as some articles/reviews on the topic have mentioned those ranges. No change in the devices function.  To get the screen to stay off and not randomly turn back on I usually hold down the top right button for a few seconds and it seems to decrease the awake logo screen.
